Red Dead Online Might Be Getting New Gun Rush Modes

A bug in Red Dead Online's matchmaking may have revealed two new upcoming modes.

Red Dead Redemption 2

Given that Red Dead Online is technically still in its beta stage, new modes and features being added on gradually is something that is to be expected. Right now, Red Dead Online has a relatively small selection of modes, including the likes of free for all, team deathmatch, battle royale, and races (among others). According to this newest leak, however, Rockstar might be gearing up to add two new modes to the game soon.

Eagle-eyed users on Reddit have spotted a bug in Red Dead Online’s matchmaking lobbies, where the selection screen of currently available modes shows two modes that haven’t been available so far- “Gun Rush” and “Gun Rush Teams”. According to those who’ve spotted this, the names of the two modes are only visible for a split-second, before they disappear once more. You can view a screenshot below, however.

What these modes might be is anyone’s best guess, but as I mentioned, it’s pretty much a given that more modes will be added to Red Dead Online sooner rather than later. For now, this is, for all purposes, unsubstantiated, so take this with a grain of salt, since there has been no official word on this from Rockstar themselves.

In related news, Rockstar has been addressing some of the criticism Red Dead Online has been receiving from players since its beta launch. The stifled economy, for instance, has been fixed to some extent. Meanwhile, there was also concern from some players that their beta progress may not be carried over once the game exited the beta stage, but Rockstar has clarified that it’s not currently planning on resetting progress.
