Red Dead Redemption 2 – Rockstar Drops Information On Several In-Game Locations

Heartlands, bayous, ridges, mountains, and a lot more.

After dropping a bucketload of information on the wide and varied cast of characters we’ll be meeting in the upcoming Red Dead Redemption 2, Rockstar have now put up an update on their official website giving out details on a total of seven towns, cities, and frontiers we’ll be visiting in the game, while also providing screenshots and artwork for each of them.

Thanks to the update, we now know a bit about seven new locations in the game, the first of which is a “rough and tumble” town called Valentine, which seems to be the perfect hub of scum and villainy. Then there’s Annesburg, a town that revolves around a mining pit with tough working conditions. Saint Denis is a bustling city that is a “gateway” to the Northern and more “civilized” part of America, and is described as a “melting pot” of various cultures.

Then there’s Mount Hagen, up in the mountain peaks, covered almost completely in snow. Rhodes is a “prim and proper” town that also has a great deal of corruption bubbling beneath the surface, thanks to its two rival plantation families. Then there’s Strawberry, a small logging town that recently got a new mayor from the East Coast, who plans on turning it into a tourist destination of sorts. Finally, there’s Lagras, a town in the middle of swampy lands.

You can check out artwork and screenshots for each of these locations in the gallery below. Red Dead Redemption 2 launches on October 26 for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
