Resident Evil 2 “1-Shot” Demo Confirmed, Coming January 11

The demo will also include a brand new trailer for the game.

As an ambitious, ground-up remake of what is considered to be one of the best Resident Evil games to date, there’s a lot of hype and anticipation surrounding the upcoming Resident Evil 2. If you’re anything like me and are counting the seconds before finally getting to play the survival horror title, this news will probably make you very happy.

Capcom have confirmed that the 1-Shot demo for Resident Evil 2 that was leaked earlier last month is indeed coming- and coming very soon. The demo will be out for PS4, Xbox One, and Steam on January 11- and the details seem to be what was reported in the aforementioned leak. The demo will come with a timer- you get to play it for thirty minutes, and that’s it. You’ll be inside the RPD building, and you can do whatever you want, go wherever you want, and die as many times as you want, but as soon as the thirty minutes are up, the demo’s over.

Meanwhile, Capcom also confirms that once your thirty minutes are up and the demo is over, you will also get to see a brand new trailer for the upcoming release, which is even more incentive to try it out (in case you weren’t convinced already). A short teaser for the demo has also been released- take a look at it below.

Resident Evil 2 itself isn’t too far away from launch either, in case thirty minutes sounds like too little to you. The game launches for PS4, Xbox One, and PC on January 25. Recently, its full Trophy list was leaked online- read more about that through here.
