Resident Evil 6 demo hits PSN and XBL today

New demo.

Capcom has updated us that Resident Evil 6 demo is now available on Xbox Live and PSN. The European PSN store updates on Wednesday so they have wait one day before downloading the demo to one of the biggest games of this year.

Earlier the demo was exclusive to Dragon’s Dogma owners of Xbox 360 (different demo), and later released on PSN. Xbox 360 version of the game features more exclusive DLCs, more on that later.

The one thing that sets this demo apart is the availability of co-op mode, so you can finish the demo together with a friend.

There are three settings available in the demo, the description of which, you can check out below.

a) Play as either Leon S. Kennedy or Helena Harper and further explore the dark corridors and moonlit grounds of Ivy University, swarming with the victims of the latest bioterrorist attack.

b) The action in Jake’s mission switches to the neon-lit streets of Lanshiang as he and Sherry Berkin fight off the new J’avo enemies, including their fully mutated forms. Jake’s special hand-to- hand combat moves and Sherry’s stun baton are pivotal in their struggle to stay alive.

c) Showcasing the global setting in Resident Evil 6, Chris Redfield and Piers Nivans head with fellow BSAA team members to the war-ravaged streets of Edonia. The amassed J’avo forces provide a stiff enough challenge, but that’s before the three-story high B.O.W. Ogroman crashes the party. Select Piers for a slightly different weapons loadout than Chris including a sniper rifle with thermal scope.

The game will be released on October 2nd for the PS3 and Xbox 360 with a PC version to follow at a later date.
