Gamemaster magazine recently interview producer Michiteru Okabe, who is working on Capcom’s Resident Evil Revelations 2, and it was revealed that Claire Redfield will return to team up with Moira Burton. Moira is the daughter of Barry Burton from the first Resident Evil game and this will be the first time in the franchise that she’s playable.
It also seems that the game will be “much more survival horror orientated” and have a new enemy type called Afflicted that seem to be like zombies when they “are in fact something quite different.” There will be single-player and co-op options. You’ll have Claire as your main combat character while Moira provides support like healing and a flashlight. It seems that the death of Claire is what causes a game over.
Resident Evil Revelations 2 will be out next year for the PS4, Xbox One and PC. Stay tuned for more details as they arrive.
