Resident Evil Series Hits 146 Million Lifetime Sales, Street Fighter Series at 52 Million

The Monster Hunter series has sold 94 million units, while the Mega Man franchise tops 40 million sales, and Devil May Cry hits 29 million.

Capcom has shared its Q1 financial report for the fiscal year ending March 31st, 2024, and provided updated sales numbers for its biggest franchises. On top is the Resident Evil series, with 146 million units sold in its lifetime, up from 142 million as of March 31st, 2023.

The Monster Hunter series is next, with 94 million sales in its lifetime. It’s followed by Street Fighter, which has sold 52 million units, up from 50 million. The recently released Street Fighter 6 doubtless contributed to this goal, having sold over two million units since launching in June.

The Mega Man series is at 40 million units sold (with Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection selling over one million since launch), and the Devil May Cry franchise has sold 29 million. Dragon’s Dogma is in last with 7.7 million units sold, but that should improve with Dragon’s Dogma 2 coming to Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC.
