Rocket League Hits 30 Million Registered Players

Up from 29 million in March.

Psyonix’s Rocket League has hit yet another milestone with 30 million registered players till date. This is up from nearly 29 million in March though keep in mind that this doesn’t reflect the number of copies sold.

The most recent number of registered players was announced by Psyonix on Twitter. The developer noted not too long ago that sales are close to 10.5 million unit since launch. Since the game first rose to fame in July 2015 when it was free for PlayStation Plus subscribers so there are certainly a number of non-paying players out there.

If anything, this is even more proof that Rocket League 2 won’t be happening anytime soon. With such a large community to cater to, Pysonix is instead focusing on adding more updates to the current game. The most recent DLC was a tie-in for The Fate of the Furious (aka Fast and the Furious 8).
