Rocket League On Nintendo Switch Will Have Cross Platform Multiplayer With Xbox One and PC, But Not With PS4

Sony, what are you doing...

Sony is not playing nice when it comes to cross platform multiplayer. We have been hearing from developers about them not allowing full cross platform multiplayer online for a year now, and things came to a head on Sunday, when Mojang announced that Minecraft will allow for full cross platform play across every single platform that the game is on- except for PlayStation. Even Xbox and Switch players will be able to play with each other, but PS4 is left out, because Sony won’t agree to it.

And now, another game has joined the list. Rocket League will be coming to the Nintendo Switch this Holiday season, as was announced, and it will have cross platform multiplayer- with PC and with Xbox One, but not with PS4.

This is not reflecting well on Sony at all- if even a company as backwards about online as Nintendo is willing to play nice with cross platform multiplayer, then Sony has no excuse, and it needs to step up.

Rocket League is available now on PS4, Xbox One, PC, with a Nintendo Switch version coming later this year.
