S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chronobyl Will Receive New “Exclusive Look” at GDC

The upcoming open world shooter will be featured in a GDC presentation later this month, presented by GSC Game World 3D animator Anton Riabchuk.

GSC Game World is continuing to plug away behind the scenes on S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Shadow of Chronobyland as hype surrounding the horror open world shooter continues to grow, so too does the demand for more details on the game. Some of those new details, as it turns out, will be arriving soon.

GDC is happening later this month, and there, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 will be getting a new “exclusive look”. The panel, presented by GSC Game World 3D animator Anton Riabchuk, will focus on how the developers are “adopting generative AI technology from NVIDIA in their content creation workflows”, while also going over the “workflow challenges in the facial animation and localization process”, and the Omniverse Audio2Face AI SDK and the “challenges it helps solve”.

This being a GDC talk, you obviously shouldn’t expect a gameplay showcase, though there will likely still be new tech-related details and information on how the game’s development is proceeding to parse through.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornoyl is due out sometime this year for Xbox Series X/S and PC.
