Samson Aiming for Early 2026 Launch, Costs $25: “An Experience That Truly Punches Above Its Price”

Developer Liquid Swords also confirms that the single-player title will be available on PC first, with console versions coming later.

Liquid Swords, helmed by Christofer Sundberg of Just Cause fame, was fairly quiet until it announced action-adventure title Samson earlier this month. Set in Tyndalston, it follows the titular character as he struggles to erase his debt. Thankfully, we won’t have to wait to play, as a new FAQ reveals that the team is aiming to launch in early 2026.

A “specific date” will be shared in the coming months, but even more intriguing is that Samson will retail for $24.99. “As an independently developed and published title, we don’t have the overhead of a large organization — just the core development team. This gives us the freedom to set our own price.”

“At $24.99, we hope players will be encouraged to give it a try and discover an experience that truly punches above its price point.”

Of course, it won’t be available for all platforms at once. Console versions will be released later since this allows Liquid Swords to deliver “the best possible version” on PC first, without “spreading ourselves too thin.”

And just for the sake of clarification, there’s no multiplayer in Samson. It’s a single-player title without any microtransactions. “We believe that when you buy the game, you get the game. “

Localization focuses on English, French, Italian, German and Spanish for launch, but the studio has plans for more down the line. That said, the voice acting will be English only. Also, if the trailer didn’t make it clear, this is a “Mature” game with plenty of violence, crime, “moral ambiguity,” drug use and more.
