Sea of Stars Crosses 6 Million Players

The retro RPG recently received a major update that added 3-player co-op, combat improvements, and more. A free expansion is due out next year.

Sea of Stars has made a lot of fans since its launch over a year ago, and strong word of mouth for the retro turn-based RPG continues to attract more players to it. In fact, developer Sabotage Studio has announced that it recently passed another milestone on that front. 

Taking to BlueSky, the developer announced that Sea of Stars has been played by over 6 million players across all platforms since it came out last August. That’s up from 5 million players in March earlier this year. 

Sabotage Studio recently also released substantial free update for Sea of Stars titled Dawn of Equinox, which added three-player co-op, combat improvements, a revamped prologue, a new Speedrunner Mode, and more. Next year, the studio will also release a free expansion for the RPG titled Throes of the Watchmaker

Sea of Stars is available on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
