Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice Video Introduces New Imposing Boss

The mounted samurai from the very first trailer is finally introduced.

FromSoftware’s Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice has quite a few impressive bosses, at least based on what we’ve seen so far. We’ve seen the Corrupted Monk and his sheer unpredictability. The giant serpent hasn’t been confirmed as a boss fight, but you never know. In a recent clip on the game’s official Twitter, it introduced another boss that may look familiar.

Say hello to Gyoubu Masataka Oniwa, who really doesn’t want you passing through. Oniwa is on a large horse, carries an immense Japanese Jumonji Yari, and is clad from head to toe in samurai armour. You might remember him from the very first trailer for the game, and it seems players will have to make use of the protagonist’s grapplong hook to get some hits in.

Despite the similarities to previous FromSoftware titles, Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice is much more different in terms of progression. There are also no more corpse runs, and “friendlier” tutorials have been introduced to help ease players in. The game is out on March 22nd for Xbox One, PS4, and PC.
