With Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2 less than one week from release, Ninja Theory has revealed launch timings for the sequel on Twitter. It goes live on May 21st for Xbox Series X/S and PC at 1 AM PDT, so those living on the West Coast in the United States will see it pop up early.
Taking place after the 2017 action adventure, Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2 sees Senua venturing to Viking Iceland, presumably to deal with the Norsemen. She still hears “The Furies,” many voices of the psychosis she suffers (head here for more details on how Ninja Theory depicts it). However, instead of conquering her “darkness,” the end goal appears to be “saving those who have fallen victim to the horrors of tyranny,” per the official description.
Technically, Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2 is a big jump, with fully motion-captured combat, a much larger scale and Metahuman for improved facial expressions. However, its runtime is similar to the original, retailing for $49.99 as digital-only release. Head here for more details on what to expect, and stay tuned for updates.
