As promised, Flying Wild Hog debuted gameplay for Shadow Warrior 3, which sees the inscrutable Lo Wang back in action. Following the events of the second game, Wang has teamed up with Orochi Zilla to track down and capture a dragon. Check out all the action in the trailer below.
In terms of gameplay, there’s a lot that’s familiar from the hacking and slashing to the excessive amount of blood and gore. However, Shadow Warrior 3 is taking things up a notch by including wall-running and air dashes along with a new grappling hook. The grappling hook is useful for more than just platforming – it can trigger switches for environmental hazards as well.
Finishers have also been revamped – you can now execute foes and then grab a piece of them to unleash on enemies. It’s an interesting twist on DOOM Eternal’s Glory Kills and spices up the combat even more. Shadow Warrior 3 is currently slated to release for PC in 2021. Stay tuned for more details, including potential console releases, in the coming months.
