Shenmue 3 was the sequel that no one ever expected to happen. It had a pretty rocky middle ground with a lot of controversies, but either way, it’s here. Like most games, it’s getting updates as well in the form of expansion DLC and quality of life fixes such as the newest patch.
The newest update, 1.04, has several minor fixes such as the option to now skip initial conversations to speed through things. It also adjusts some things related to backer contents, background collisions, crashing and a host of other annoyances. You can see the full list as released via developer Ys Net below.
Shenmue 3 is available now for PlayStation 4 and PC. You can check out the timeline for the upcoming backer content that will be released through here. You can also see this report on a potential Shenmue 4 from Lakshya Digital and where that sequel could potentially go. The 1.04 update is live now across both platforms.
