Silent Hill 2 Remake is “Not the End of the Adventure with Konami,” Bloober Team CEO Says

The upcoming Silent Hill 2 might not be the only title that Bloober Team makes in collaboration with Konami, CEO Piotr Babieno has suggested.

Silent Hill 2’s upcoming remake is continuing to look increasingly promising as we approach its looming release, and though it remains to be seen how well it will ultimately be able to deliver on expectations, it seems like the partnership between Konami and developer Bloober Team has been strong enough that this upcoming remake might not be the last that we see of it.

The same has also been suggested by Bloober Team CEO Piotr Babieno, in fact, who suggested while recently speaking with Polish outlet Bankier that the the studio will continue to work with Konami beyond Silent Hill 2.

“You can expect that this is not the end of the adventure with Konami,” he said.

Whether that means that Konami and Bloober Team are planning on working together on more future Silent Hill remakes, develop an entirely new game in the series, or maybe even work on something that isn’t related to Silent Hill remains to be seen. Either way, it does look like the upcoming remake won’t be the extent of the partnership between the two.

In an interview with GamingBolt last year, when asked if Bloober Team would be open to working on more Silent Hill remakes, Silent Hill 2 producer Maciej Głomb said, “It still remains to be seen, but in my opinion, you should never say never.”

Later in the year, Konami said it was “working diligently” on Silent Hill “remakes”. Read more on that through here.
