Skate is Getting a Playtest on Consoles

Players interested in helping playtest the upcoming skateboarding game on consoles can sign up on the game's official website.

Developer Full Circle has announced that its upcoming skateboarding game Skate will be coming to consoles for playtesting. The studio took to social media platform X to announce that PS5 and Xbox Series X/S players interested in playtesting Skate can register for the playtest through the game’s official website.

The announcement was made as part of a Q&A session the developers had with players in response to its PC playtest in September. When asked what happened to console playtesting, which was originally announced for Fall 2024, the developers responded by saying it’s happening soon.

While the playtesting for Skate has been announced, it is worth noting that not all interested players will get selected. The studio is still selective about those it allows into its playtest. It is, however, an ongoing process, and the studio is working on bringing more and more into it.

Back in September, Full Circle had announced that Skate would be getting an Early Access release some time in 2025. The announcement came after several playtests occurred on PC. The studio hasn’t yet announced a solid release date.

Skate is a free-to-play title, with a heavy emphasis being placed on player customisation. The studio released a developer diary addressing how player customization would be a big deal about the game. Players will have several options for customization, ranging from body type, shape, height, and plenty of wardrobe options.
