The wait for Skull and Bones has been long and torturous, and with constant delays, development reboots, and production issues aplenty, skepticism surrounding the game has continued to grow with every passing day. While it remains unclear when exactly the game will finally launch, Ubisoft did have a brief update to share at its recent Ubisoft Forward showcase.
A closed beta for Skull and Bones has been confirmed, and will run from August 25 to August 28. Details on what the beta will entail haven’t been revealed, but registrations are now open. To go along with this announcement, Ubisoft has also revealed a sea shanty video performed by American a cappella group Home Free Guys. Check it out below.
Skull and Bones is in development for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. There’s no word yet on when it will launch, but leaks have claimed that it could be targeting a release sometime later this year. Read more on that through here.
