Skyrim and Fallout 4 Can Now Be Played In 4K On Xbox One X

Among other enhancements.

Bethesda has gone ahead and released updates for The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim Special Edition and Fallout 4 for the Xbox One X, enhancing both popular open world RPGs for Microsoft’s console. It’s actually a bit surprising that they are out so early- Bethesda hadn’t committed to any release date for either update when they announced them earlier this month, and it did take them a while to get PS4 Pro updates for both games up and running.

Among the improvements for Skyrim and Fallout 4 are included 4K resolution; on Fallout 4, you will also get enhanced draw distance, and enhanced God rays. Neither game is necessarily the best looking title in the world- but they both have extremely strong art styles, which should benefit hugely from a cleaner picture quality.

You can check out the full list of improvements for both games below. Fallout 4 is available now on PS4, Xbox One, and PC; Skyrim is available for Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS3, PS4, PSVR, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
