Skyrim Remastered Mods Reserve 5GB on Xbox One, Only 1GB on PS4

Xbox One owners get the better deal with mods, again.

Today’s a big day for Skyrim Remastered news- we got confirmation that it is coming to the Nintendo NX, we are getting a brand new trailer for it, and now there is this. We now know some specifics about how mods will work for Skyrim Remastered on consoles- and unsurprisingly, you’re better off on an Xbox One than you are on the PS4.

On Xbox One, mods can reserve as much as 5GB of storage space, and that is how much memory the Xbox reserves for them. On PS4, the system only reserves 1GB of storage space for mods- meaning that mods will be more limited in what they can do and change on the PS4 (they were already held back by Sony’s content guidelines for mods).

It’s a shame, but it is what it is- compared to a few weeks ago, when it did not even seem like we were getting mods on PS4, it’s still a step up. Still, Xbox One owners definitely make out better this time around.
