Skyrim: Special Edition Looks Great In These Screenshots

That's one hell of a remaster.

The Elder Scrolls Skyrim: Special Edition, which is a remaster of the classic, beloved RPG, was announced today, and it looks absolutely amazing. A variety of advanced rendering and graphical techniques have been used to overhaul the game’s graphics, and the end result is a game that looks gorgeous, thanks to a combination of a strong art style, and great technical visuals.

Don’t believe me? Well, check out these screenshots for yourself below- it’s really a hell of an upgrade. The game looks far closer to its original art now than it ever did with the vanilla release. The incredible graphics alone should be enough of a reason for everybody to pick this up- but of course, Bethesda are further incentivizing this by bringing mods to the console version of the game, and by basically making it free for PC owners of the original Skyrim.

The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim Special Edition will release this October for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
