Skyrim Special Edition Update 1.3 Adds Better Support For 144 Hz Displays

Among other things.

Bethesda’s post launch support for Skyrim Special Edition continues to be marvellous. Another update for the game is now available (on PC only, because the update is technically still in beta), and it continues to fix the game’s general stability and performance, while also addressing several issues that PC players had with the PC build of the game.

For instance, Skyrim‘s remaster didn’t necessarily have the best support for 144Hz screens. It looks like this update changes that, though exactly what it does and how it changes that is something that remains to be seen.

You can check out the full patch notes for the update below. Remember, right now the update is only available on PC, and in beta- presumably it will be made available to everyone at large in the coming weeks. Skyrim‘s remaster is available on PS4, Xbox One, and PC, with a Nintendo Switch version presumed to be in the works for the launch of that system.

Fixes

  • General stability and performance improvements
  • Fixed an issue where Slow Time effects weren’t behaving properly
  • Better support for 144hz displays
