Slay the Spire Bids Farewell to Early Access, Now Available on PC

The rogue-lite card battler launches after more than three years of development.

Mega Crit Games’ innovative rogue-lite card-battler Slay the Spire has finally left Steam Early Access. It’s now officially launched for PC after over three years in development. The developer thanked fans for their support and released a trailer to celebrate. Check it out below.

Slay the Spire is an intriguing title in that players choose a class – Ironclad, The Defect, or Silent – and progress through procedurally generated sections in a large tower. Each class has its own starting deck of cards with attack and defense options, status ailments, and whatnot, with more cards, relics, and other items discovered throughout a run. With bosses, multiple Acts, Steam Workshop support, and much more added over the early access period, there’s plenty to sink one’s teeth into.

The developer promised more PC-specific features that would be coming in later update. It declined to comment on future content and will be taking a break from weekly updates, but there’s still plenty to look forward to. Slay the Spire will also be coming to the Nintendo Switch later this year.
