Sniper Elite 5 Mysteriously Pulled From Epic Games Store Due to “Circumstances Beyond The Developer’s Control”, Rebellion Says

Rebellion has also issued full refunds for the same, despite many fans not asking for them. The game is still available on PC through Microsoft Store and Steam.

Rebellion Developments has very recently released Sniper Elite 5 to mostly favourable reviews. While the game is available across PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Steam, and Xbox Game Pass, its Epic Games Store version has been mysteriously pulled from sale.

Furthermore, fans who pre-ordered the game through the platform have received full refunds for the game – even without asking for them. As it stands, the listing for the game on the storefront is labeled with a release date of “coming soon”. The developer has acknowledged the issue and explained that the game was pulled from sale due to circumstances that were beyond their control.

“Due to circumstances beyond our control Sniper Elite 5 was not available on the Epic Store at launch but will release on that platform in the future. We apologise for any inconvenience,” a statement on the game’s support site reads “If you have pre-ordered through Epic, you should have received a refund – if not, please reach out to them here.”

While it’s most certainly a disappointment that the game isn’t available on the Epic Games Store, interested fans on the PC platform can still purchase the game through Steam and Microsoft Store. Read our review of Sniper Elite 5 by clicking through here.
