A new Sonic Central livestream will take place on June 23rd at 8 AM PT/11 AM ET. It will provide a “sneak peek” at forthcoming Sonic the Hedgehog projects as well as “partnerships and events” taking place this year.
The livestream coincides with the release of Sonic Origins Plus tomorrow for Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PS4, PS5, PC and Nintendo Switch. It’s an enhanced version of Sonic Origins, which includes all 12 Sonic titles from the Game Gear era and makes Amy Rose playable in the original collection’s games (while Knuckles is playable in Sonic CD).
As for upcoming titles, there’s Sonic Superstars, new 2.5D platformer developed in collaboration with Arzest. It’s out in Fall 2023 for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PC and Nintendo Switch. For the first time in the series, none of the Zones from older 2D Sonic titles are being reused.
It also supports a four-player co-op with Sonic, Amy, Tails and Knuckles playable. Check out the latest trailer here.
