Sony Announces PlayStation Classic, Releasing This December

Pre-loaded with over 20 classic PS1 titles.

Sony has now sold more than 500 million units of PlayStation consoles, and of course, it all started with the original PlayStation that came out 25 years ago. To celebrate the success of the original PlayStation, Sony is bringing it back as new miniature version called the PlayStation Classic, similar to what Nintendo did with the NES, that will be pre-loaded with over 2o classic games, such as Tekken 3, Final Fantasy VII, Wild Arms, and more.

The original PlayStation was the first home console to ever ship more than 100 million units worldwide. Needless to say, the console ensured Sony’s place as one of the leading  manufacturers of video game consoles, so there’s no doubt in our minds that its miniature classic version will do exceedingly well. The PlayStation Classic is now available to pre-order and it will cost $99. The console will also come with an HDMI cable, a USB cable, and two controllers. If you’re excited to get your hands on this console, you won’t have to wait too long, because it will be out on December 3.
