Sony Predicts $300 Million in Revenue from PC Releases This Fiscal Year

A recently held investor relations meeting reveals that Sony is expecting to generate $300 million in revenue from its PC releases in FY22-23.

PlayStation recently held its investor relations meeting, wherein the Japanese gaming giant revealed its upcoming plans for its releases, expansion plans, and more. The company predicts that it will generate a total of $300 million in revenue (more than triple of last year) just from its PC releases this fiscal year, which ends on March 31, 2023.

PlayStation has been making substantial moves in porting some of its most valuable IPs to PC, and Sony pulled a total of $80 million in FY21, thanks to commercially successful ports of Days Gone and God of War. These two ports will, of course, continue to sell in the coming months, and there’s also the pending PC release of the Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves collection.

Sony also revealed its plans of releasing 2 still-unannounced live-service games in FY22-23, so it’s possible that the two games may end up being multi-platform releases to hit the company’s projected revenue figures. Of course, it’s also possible that other unannounced ports of PlayStation games are scheduled to release this year, but with no official confirmation available as of yet, it’s best to keep expectations in check.
