DICE’s Star Wars: Battlefront may only feature the towering AT-AT walker in its own mode, that too a fairly linear one, but the more mobile AT-ST units are confirmed playable in the multiplayer shooter. The developer revealed as much on Twitter while posting the above asset.
Star Wars: Battlefront has had quite the controversial reception since its initial in-engine showing. While many praised the visuals, others (rightfully) exercised scepticism until in-game footage was released. It also didn’t help that DICE confirmed the exclusion of space battles, no single-player campaign and only 12 multiplayer maps at launch. This of course doesn’t include the co-op Missions mode.
Regardless of how people feel, DICE is committed to making Battlefront as different from its flagship Battlefield franchise as possible. We already know that you can’t aim down sights unless you have a scope on your weapon and the destruction won’t be as extravagant as, say, Battlefield: Hardline.
Star Wars: Battlefront releases on November 17th for North America and November 20th for Europe on Xbox One, PS4 and PC.
