Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order’s Skills Are Linked To The Story

The game's skill and story progression seem to be linked.

Star Wars is getting its first major single player game in many years with the upcoming release of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. The game is looking to be quite the surprise as we’ve learned more about the parry-based combat, as well as its accessibility options. Now we learn a bit about the skills and how they’ll work in game.

We don’t know the exact details just yet, but the game will have a skills system that you’ll be able to access throughout the game. Odds are they are a lot of force-inspired ones (as you’d expect, of course), and it also seems there’s some link here to the story. In an interview with PCGames, Producer  Kasumi Shishido said that the skills were tied to the progress in the story, forcing you to chose certain things to upgrade first as they think about how they want to tackle the game.

“I would say that everything is very closely linked to the story. The unlocking of a given ability depends on how far the story has progressed. Despite this limitation, there are options for players to choose whether they want to improve their lightsaber or lifebar first. We can not really get rambunctious about how it all works and how each skill is unlocked because it really depends on the story.”

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order will release for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC on November 15th. To check out how much of your HDD you’ll be looking to clean out, check through here.
