From dust-ups with different criminal syndicates and dynamically occurring open world events to densely populated urban settlements and more, the many planets and moons you’ll explore in Star Wars Outlaws’ open world setting are promising to have a bevy of content on offer- but what about when you’re off-planet?
Hopping into the pilot seat of protagonist Kay’s ship, the Trailblazer, has been billed as an important part of the experience by developer Massive Entertainment, especially with traversal between space and planets being completely seamless– but what exactly will you be doing when you’re flying your ship through space?
Speaking during a recent interview with Game Informer, creative director Julian Gerighty touched on the same, explaining how the physical space will be structured in and around every planet with the game, and what you’ll be doing when you’re in the orbit of one of the planets or moons.
“Every planet, we wanted to have an orbit around it with lots of different points of interest, things to do, battles to get in, places to explore,” Gerighty said. “So the orbits for each one of the planets or moons that we created had to be populated with lots of different things. And we didn’t want to create endless space, so you hyperdrive from orbit of a planet to an orbit of a planet. So all of the space areas we have are full of things to do.”
Star Wars Outlaws is set to launch for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC on August 30.
