Eric “ConcernedApe” Barone has seen great success with sim RPG Stardew Valley, selling over 10 million copies since release. Despite releasing so many free updates already, Barone has announced update 1.5 is in development. Like previous updates, this one will be free and “have lots of new content.”
Update 1.4 was the last major content update for the title, releasing first for PC in November 2019. Along with lots of bug fixes, it added tons of new customization options with new hairstyles, shirts, hats, pants and boots. It also introduced over 60 new items, 14 new music tracks and a collections tab for letters, among other things.
The fact that update 1.5 is in development is especially intriguing when you consider that Barone already has two other projects in development. The first is set in the Stardew Valley universe though it’s not a “farming game.” The second game’s setting is unknown but it will tie into Stardew Valley in “some way”. Stay tuned for more details – the wait for update 1.5 is just getting started.
