Undead Labs’ open world zombie survival sequel State of Decay 2 hasn’t had too much information since its reveal at E3 2016. But fret not – the Xbox One and Windows 10 title will receive a release date at E3 2017 according to studio founder Jeff Strain.
In a new blog post, Strain said that, “The release date will be revealed, along with gameplay, systems, and so much more, at E3 2017. So pace yourselves, mark your calendars, and get ready to party with us this June.”
Thus far, we know that State of Decay 2 will feature four player co-op, allowing players to split up and explore the world of their own accord. Despite the absence of player vs. player combat, it’s still entirely possible to kill allies by, say, baiting zombies to them.
The world will also be much larger than the first game which makes our minds swim with the possibilities of new vehicles, weapons and environments.
