State of Decay 2 Xbox One X Enhancements Revealed, ‘4K’ And HDR Support Confirmed

However, it's not confirmed whether it's native 4K or not.

Developer Undead Labs revealed to IGN today that the upcoming State of Decay 2 will see various Xbox One X enhancements, using the ultimate power of Xbox One X to deliver the best console version of the game. The game’s executive producer Jeff Strain would reveal that the 12GB of GDDR5 memory and improved CPU clocked speed allowed them to create a more impressive looking game. “When you’re in the game, you’ll immediately see the difference” said Strain.

Some of the improvements that Strain mentioned include better resolution textures (most likely for 4K resolution), better looking character models and most importantly a stable frame rate. These kind of enhancements are expected given the 6TFLOPs GPU present in the Xbox One X. It’s a beast after all.

Strain also revealed that the game will run in native 4K and will support HDR. Strain did not qualify the 4K at all, suggesting that it’s native, but this remains unconfirmed. However, the game will not have different visual modes ( as seen in games like The Surge 2). According to the statement that the developers, they want all users on Xbox One X to have the same experience.
