Steam Adds Support for Over 100 Languages in Discovery and Search Options

Valve has added new language features to Steam, allowing users to pick from over 100 languages in their discovery and search for new games.

Valve has announced a new update to Steam, this time around bringing in more support for non-English languages to the store front. Detailed in a blog post, the update allows players to set their language preferences, allowing them to find games among over 100 languages.

Players can now select a primary language, which determines what language the Steam interface is presented in, as well as secondary and additional languages, which allows players to see content made for those languages as well.

Steam now also allows users to use its search and filter options to streamline results according to language options, and even Steam’s Discovery features now take languages into account.

The additional languages will undoubtedly be a good thing for many players considering the massive success of Steam as a platform. Just last month, Steam managed to cross a major milestone in having over 30 million concurrent users from across the planet.
