Steam is pretty much synonymous with PC gaming, so it’s no surprise that it continues to see impressive numbers where player engagement and usage are concerned. In fact, Valve’s platform has entered the new year in a strong position, and crossed some impressive milestones.
As reported by SteamDB on Twitter, earlier today, Steam hit 10 million in-game concurrent players (hitting a peak of 10,284,568 players, to be precise), which is the first time the platform has hit those numbers. Meanwhile, as per the official Steam charts, it also hit its highest ever peak concurrent user count earlier today, with peak of over 33 million users, topping the 30 million figure reported in October.
The games featured in its “Most Played” list at the time of writing are, simply put, the usual suspects, which includes the likes of Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, Dota 2, Lost Ark, PUBG: Battlegrounds and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.
