Stellar Blade has clearly got off to a solid start since its release in April, having been not only met with positive responses from critics and audiences alike, but also having seen commercial success to match, with the action title currently standing at over million units sold. Unsurprisingly, then, developer Shift Up has plans to keep the game alive and kicking in the coming months with content additions.
During Shift Up’s recent IPO press conference, the studio revealed a rough roadmap of upcoming updates for Stellar Blade, as reported by @Genki_JPN on Twitter. In August, Stellar Blade will add a Photo Mode, while a new skin will follow in October. Shift Up says it’s currently also reviewing a paid large-scale DLC collaborating with other IP for December, while further DLC and even a sequel are also being considered for the future.
Prior to Stellar Blade’s release, Shift Up confirmed that in addition to releasing free updates for the game (such as a boss rush mode last month), it would also likely add paid IP collaboration DLC. Following the game’s release, the studio also said it was looking into the possibility of PC port, more DLC, and even a sequel.
