Korean studio Shift Up announced itself to the AAA gaming space with the launch of Stellar Blade earlier this year, and clearly, the action title has got off to a solid start. In addition to strong acclaim from the majority of critics and audiences, Stellar Blade has also been seeing impressive sales, even having topped sales charts in the US in April.

In fact, Shift Up has announced a major sales milestone for the action game. Speaking during the studio’s recent IPO press conference, CFO Jaewoo Ahn revealed (via GameMeca) that Stellar Blade is estimated to have sold over a million copies worldwide since its release, calling it a “smooth first step” for the game as a “major global IP”.

Ahn also reiterated that a PC version of Stellar Blade is being looked at. “We are reviewing the PC version of Stellar Blade, and we ask for your understanding that we cannot tell you the exact timing or whether or not [it will happen] because we have a contractual relationship,” Ahn said.

In May, Shift Up said it was considering everything from a PC port to a sequel to DLC for Stellar Blade. Read more on that through here.

Stellar Blade is available on PS5. Read our review of the game through here.
