In case you craved the most definitive edition of Street Fighter 5, Capcom has announced Street Fighter 5: Champion Edition. Releasing physically for PS4 and PC on February 14th 2020 at $29.99, it’s also available as a digital upgrade for Street Fighter 5: Arcade Edition at $24.99. If that wasn’t enough, Gill from Street Fighter 3: 2nd Impact has been announced as the next fighter.
Gill is included in the Champion Edition though he’ll become available in December. A second character is included but Capcom has yet to reveal who it is. Otherwise, for new players, Street Fighter 5: Champion Edition is the “definitive” version of the game. It includes every costume, character, stage and DLC that’s released thus far.
New V-Skills and updates to balance are also promised, though time will tell how that pans out. Overall, it’s not the worst deal considering you get all of the recent DLC fighters, costumes and whatnot included for one decent price.
