Street Fighter 6, Mega Man Series Producer Has Reportedly Left Capcom

In his Twitter bio, Kazuhiro Tsuchiya reveals that he's "graduated" from Capcom. The producer was in charge of all things Mega Man.

With Street Fighter 6 around the corner and receiving great reviews (check out ours here), producer Kazuhiro Tsuchiya has reportedly left Capcom. Though not officially announced, the developer’s translated Twitter bio (as spotted by Rockman Corner) specifies that he’s graduated from the company. As anyone familiar with Vtubers will know, “graduation” usually means departure.

Tsuchiya isn’t just instrumental in Capcom’s latest fighting game. He was also the series producer for Mega Man following Keiji Inafune’s departure, working on all of the Legacy Collections and Mega Man 11. His most recent release is Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection, which sold over one million units in less than two weeks.

Where the series goes from here, especially the live-service title Mega Man X DiVE, remains to be seen. It’s been some time since Capcom’s last major mainline title, so hopefully, there will be something announced. Stay tuned for more details and updates in the meantime.
