It’s been a busy weekend for fans of the fighting genre, with major new updates having been released for the likes of Mortal Kombat 1, Tekken 8, Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves, and more. Street Fighter 6 is, of course, already out, unlike those titles, but it’s got new content in the pipeline as well, and Capcom showed off a glimpse of what that’ll be with a new trailer at Evo.
As previously confirmed, newcomer A.K.I. is set to be Street Fighter 6’s second DLC character, with Rashid having been added to the roster already. Armed with deadly, long nails and described as a “maniacal poison aficionado”, she gets the spotlight on her in a new trailer that sets up just what she’ll bring to the table- and it’s going to be pretty unsettling, to say the least. Check out the trailer below.
A.K.I. is set to launch sometime this Autumn, and will be available to anyone who owns the Year 1 Character Pass or the Ultimate Pass. After her launch, Street Fighter 6 will add two more characters in its first year with Ed and Akuma in Winter and Spring respectively.
Street Fighter 6 is available on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, and PC. Capcom have also revealed a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles collaboratio event, which will add new cosmetics and items to the game tomorrow. Read more on that through here.
