The latest Insider Episode for Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League discussed the game’s weapons, combat, vendors, returning characters and how you’ll customize armaments to defeat Brainiac’s forces. However, despite the co-op support, this is still a narrative-focused adventure. Rocksteady says it’s the studio’s “biggest cinematic experience”, with more hours of cinematic cutscenes than ever.
However, the story is left open enough for post-launch content, previously confirmed to include new characters and missions. While more details are coming in the next episode, the developer teased new places, stating the game is “much bigger than the world of the Suicide Squad.” While there will be a full story at launch, those who indulge in the free updates can go even further.
Rocksteady has only confirmed an offline mode for post-launch, but rumors claim there are two additional modes – the Horde Mode-esque Raising Hell and QVK, similar to Gambit from Destiny 2. Whether these are available at launch or after remains to be seen.
Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is coming to Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC on February 2nd, 2024.
