Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League has shown some signs of promise with its recent gameplay showing, but by and large, the game has been met with its fair share of skepticism, something that its always-online requirements have contributed to heavily. As it turns out though, those who want to play the game offline will have that option- albeit with a post-launch update.

The same was recently confirmed by developer Rocksteady Studios in the game’s official Discord server (as spotted by a ResetEra user). An offline mode will be added with a post-launch update at some point in 2024, though a specific release date for the same hasn’t yet been confirmed.

“We’re happy to confirm we’re planning to add an offline story mode that will give players the option to experience the main campaign without an internet connection,” Rocksteady wrote. “We’re aiming to add this update in 2024 and will provide more details when it’s available.”

When Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League was hit with its delay into February earlier this year, it was claimed that Rocksteady had done so to either remove or rework its always-online requirement. Whether that was accurate is up in the air, but the developer has certainly responded to feedback from the community.

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League will launch on February 2 for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. Check out its PC requirements through here, and its PS5-exclusive features through here.
