Nightdive Studios’ System Shock remake kicked off day one of the Guerrilla Collective with new alpha gameplay footage captured on the PC. This footage is subject to change but what we saw looks pretty good. In nightmarish, neon-filled way, that is.
Along with an updated take on the original game’s cyberpunk aesthetic, there’s a healthy dose of combat like shooting and bashing foes over the head. It’s nothing too crazy but the overall movement looks fluid. Of course, there’s also the classy elevator-esque music pervading the trailer, offering a calm contrast to all the dark subject matter.
System Shock is slated to release later this year. It’s currently in development for Xbox One, PS4 and PC. You can try out the alpha demo today for all three platforms to see how it plays. Stay tuned for more news and updates from day one of the Guerrilla Collective as the show progresses.
