A star-studied cast, and a unique way to play are the highlights of this cooperative effort between the Night School Studio and Netflix.

We enjoyed our time with Riley in Oxenfree 2 back when it was released, a factor that certainly helped it score high in our review. We also praised developer Night School Studio for its ability to craft a unique idea and make an interesting gameplay loop around it in that one.

Well, the studio is at it again, as it’s working with Netflix to bring us Unhinged, a horror experience like no other. It’s about two neighbors, played by Zoe Kravitz and Sadie Sink, trying to navigate a home invasion. Equally popular is Troy Baker, who plays a currently undisclosed role, but we’re willing to bet that he’s the creepy bad guy in this one.

Even more interesting than the cast is that you’re going to be playing this one on your phone, with the game streaming directly to your TV via Netflix. That means you’ll take calls when it rings, and use its flashlight when the need arises in an interactive gameplay loop that’s probably going to raise a few eyebrows when it’s not raising your blood pressure. It’s a short experience, clocking in at a little under one hour, but that might be more than most of us can manage, considering the dark tone and the fact that its narrative is structured like a very intense Netflix episode.

Director Sam Warner told Rolling Stone that the game was influenced by his time with the Nintendo Wii and DS, besides stating that “novel innovative play” was a facet of the experience that he wanted to highlight. Unhinged is out on June 30th for all Netflix subscribers.

A few leaked assets of popped up of the game, dubbed Project Comet, showcasing its character designs and mobile-centric UI.

Marvel might be working on a new co-op-focused game, this time targeting Android and iOS. A new report indicates that the company is working with mobile game developer Scopely – known for titles like Marvel Strike Force and Star Trek Fleet Command – to make a new Marvel-based mobile game with action gameplay, co-op modes, and gacha systems. According to industry insider Miller Ross, this game is being developed under the name Project Comet, and as of earlier this month, was planned to get a closed test in June.

However, the end of June is approaching, and there have been no details about Project Comet until more recently, when another known leaker, MultiverSusie, posted a few assets of what appears to be an early build of the game. While most of the posts by MultiverSusie include concept art and 3D models from the game, a video gives us a look at in-game UI.

The video features a playable version of X-Men character Juggernaut, along with some UI elements that include on-screen controls for movement, jumping, attacking, and a variety of special abilities. We don’t get a look at what the title’s levels will look like, however, since the clip seems to be from a greybox prototype, lacking any of the environmental assets from Project Comet.

The assets posted by MultiverSusie also indicate that the character design in Project Comet might be taking a cue from Marvel Rivals.

It is worth noting that neither Marvel nor Scopely has made any official announcement regarding Project Comet. As such, few details about the title are available. Even the fact that it might be a mobile game comes down to one of the leaks being a video with on-screen controls, and Scopely’s history of releasing games only on Android and iOS. There is, however, potential for Project Comet to also make its way to PC and consoles, since other gacha games like Genshin Impact and Zenless Zone Zero have enjoyed success there as well.

In the meantime, Scopely is also rumored to be working on a new project with CD Projekt. Believed to be a new game in The Witcher’s universe, the title is seemingly being developed for PC, iOS, and Android, and will focus on co-op gameplay.

The unnamed project will reportedly take place in the year 1230; since Geralt would still be a young Witcher, the setting is ripe for new player-created Witchers coming in and handling some of the bigger monster infestations. The core gameplay will revolve around players taking on contracts to hunt down monsters.

The combat in this project is rumored to be quite extensive, giving players plenty of choices between the various Witcher schools, as well as the ability to brew potions for combat benefits, and even use Signs like Igni in combat encounters.

Scopely has been working quite hard to grow its business since its acquisition of Niantic’s game development business last year, essentially becoming the owner of Pokémon Go. At the time, the game’s senior product director Michael Steranka said that no sweeping changes are coming, and that Scopely will largely leave it alone so that it doesn’t change what made it a huge success to begin with.

Head of publishing Eric Zheng explains that "this is our first attempt to explore and showcase the beauty of cliffs and summits."

The content never stops for Where Winds Meet, with not one but two multi-part expansions released thus far. July kicks off another with Hidden Mountain, where players venture to Bujian Mountain and interact with the Mohist Sect.

Aside from the new Hand Guard Discipline, which adds a more fist-heavy combat style to the game, very little is known about the expansion’s content. And while Everstone Studio is holding off until it gets closer to launch, it did offer a few teases in an interview with WCCF Tech.

As Eric Zheng, Head of Publishing, explains, “Unlike previous regions, this is our first attempt to explore and showcase the beauty of cliffs and summits. To bring this vision to life, we’ve significantly enhanced the region’s atmosphere and environmental detail through three core elements: wind, light, and stone.

“Dappled sunlight dances across rugged mountainsides, the wind echoes through the forests, and ancient stone paths bear the marks of time. Together, these elements help create a world that feels tangible, immersive, and alive.”

Also, unlike the flatter environments that players have usually traversed, Everstone is aiming to “expand exploration vertically, crafting a multi-layered experience.” It should feel new and exciting, and a significant shift from the chases through the Imperial Palace.

However, the underlying theme for Hidden Mountain is “humanity’s pursuit of wisdom and knowledge.” “If Hexi was a tribute to timeless poetry and painting, then with Bujian Mountain, we want to honor the ancient sages’ pursuit of reason and ultimate ‘truth,'” says Zheng.

“This expansion explores a deeper theme: humanity’s pursuit of wisdom and knowledge. Throughout history, countless people have devoted their lives to seeking answers. Whether their conclusions proved right or wrong, their pursuit of knowledge has continued to push humanity forward, inspiring generations across time and expanding the boundaries of what we believe is possible.”

There will be a new campaign to venture through, and given the game’s combat-heavy approach, you can expect some challenging new foes, so stay tuned for more details in the coming weeks. In the meantime, Where Winds Meet recently launched for Xbox Series X/S, joining the likes of PS5, PC, iOS and Android. The free-to-play open-world action RPG has also crossed 80 million players in its lifetime.

Well, other titles already gave us some cool companions recently, and we kind of knew this one was coming for a while. It’s very welcome, though!

Where Winds Meet has been riding high on the release of the Imperial Palace expansion, but it seems that Everstone has no intention of slowing down, with the new “Companions Make Home” update now slated for a June 25, 2026, release.

You’re going to be called back to Qinghe for this one to restore the ruins of Blissful Retreat back to its former glory. That’s a welcome task given that this was the place where it all began. Of course, you’re not expected to do it alone, and you get to build a community around your efforts by recruiting locals to assist with the restoration, while you get to design and show off your own residence. Talk about making the best use of real estate. Your Homestead could keep you quite busy once it’s up and running with a host of dedicated activities for you to indulge in.

That’s the “home” part of things taken care of, but it’s the “companions” bit that has us quite eager for this one to drop. Maverick, Scar, and Pudding are three feline friends you can make in The Jianghu, and they’re coming with dynamic behaviours that are probably going to be a factor when you try to befriend them. We’re wondering if it is going to be us adopting them or the other way around. Goldie the goose is swinging by a week later, if birds are more your thing. There’s even going to be a pet battle system, although we can’t see ourselves putting those adorable little ones in any kind of danger.

There are also themed events that bring in popular franchises like Tomb Raider, with some activities that look like they’re going to be as enjoyable as they are challenging to look forward to. There’s a trailer, of course, that we’ve showcased below if you want a closer look at all that’s coming.

Starry Studio has said that beta testers won't be able to carry over their characters into the full game when it comes out on consoles.

Developer Starry Studio and publisher NetEase Games have kicked off the beta test for the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S versions of multiplayer survival shooter Once Human. The title can be downloaded for free through the consoles’ respective online stores and comes with quite a bit of the content from the full Once Human experience.

The exact scenarios available for the beta test are the Novice Scenario, Manibus, Endless Dream, The Way of Winter, and RaidZone. Players in any scenario aside from RaidZone can also experience the content from Visional Wheel S3: Aberrant Progeny. It is also worth noting, however, that your progression won’t be carried over into the full release of Once Human on consoles. Rather, players will only get to bring over up to 6 of the Deviants they collected, all Starchrom they earned, and all cosmetics and outfits they obtained.

Along with this, the studio has also once more opened its Console Closed Beta Feedback Event, through which players can share any feedback or suggestions they might have. While players can submit feedback whenever they want, the event, which rewards players for doing so, will only be active until July 8th.

To further encourage player feedback, Starry Studio is offering participation rewards. The top 10 rated players for feedback will get their hands on Battle Pass: Luxurious Edition vouchers. Providing any valid feedback also offers benefits, giving players a 15-day Meta Pass.

To make the process of hopping between platforms easier, Starry Studio has also opened up its console account linking page, through which players with existing Once Human accounts can link their Xbox or PlayStation accounts. Through this, players will be able to manage any rewards they get in simpler ways.

Just participating in the beta, even without providing feedback, also comes with its own rewards. As long as players hit level 20 with even one character, they will get to choose from three outfits – Abyssal Dragon Set, Noise Manifesto Set, and Wasteland Sheriff Set – and from three weapon skins – Dragon Dance – KAM, Reconstructed Matrix – AWS.33, and Gem Symphony – MG4. RaidZone players will need to accumulate more than 3 hours of play time to be eligible for these rewards.

Starry Studio announced that Once Human is making its way to PS5 and Xbox Series X/S last year. While the company still hasn’t confirmed a release date for this console launch, it said that it is aiming for a 2026 window. The studio has also confirmed that the console versions will feature full support for cross-platform multiplayer, along with support for 4K visuals and even the use of keyboards and mice.

While the full console release of Once Human is slated to feature cross-platform multiplayer, the beta test currently does not allow it between console and PC/mobile players. However, PS5 and Xbox Series X/S players can still enjoy the beta together.

In the meantime, the PC and mobile versions of Once Human are currently on Visional Wheel S4: Gravity Abyss, and Starry Studio has continued to fine-tune its latest set of content with regular updates.

The title will reportedly feature action combat and will let players pick abilities from various Witcher schools, brew potions, and use Signs.

While CD Projekt RED has confirmed that it has been working on quite a few projects – a sequel to Cyberpunk 2077, The Witcher 4, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt’s Songs of the Past expansion, and even a multiplayer title codenamed Project Sirius – it looks like the studio has also been working on a multiplayer title based on The Witcher. According to Mp1st, the unnamed title is being made for PC, iOS, and Android, and will focus on co-op gameplay.

The project has been described as a brand-new one set in the world of The Witcher, and will seemingly be a free-to-play game. Its main timeframe will be in the year 1230, with series protagonist Geralt still being a young witcher. Gameplay will revolve around players taking on contracts to take on monsters across the game’s various environments. Some of the biomes to be included in the title include dark forests, villages, and haunted ruins.

The core combat mechanics will reportedly be powered by a skill-based system, with players having a choice of picking their preferred abilities from the various Witcher schools. Along with this, players will also get to brew potions to enhance their combat capabilities, as well as make use of Signs like Igni to help out in a fight. It is currently unknown which development team is working with CD Projekt RED on the project, but the report speculates that it might be mobile developer Scopely.

The studio was confirmed to be working with CD Projekt on an unnamed project, with the latter company saying that work on the project was progressing at a rapid pace. However, CD Projekt also noted that “it’s definitely not a story for 2026,” during its earnings report in March.

Scopely is known to be a major player in mobile gaming, and had announced plans to acquire Pokémon Go developer Niantic last year. At the time, the company had said that it wouldn’t introduce obstructive things to the game in a bid to increase its revenue.

“Scopely really recognises how unique this game is, and they’ve told us themselves that they would be foolish to try to change the recipe of what’s made this such a huge hit and a success,” said senior product director Michael Steranka at the time. “So yeah, absolutely not. We will not be building into our games any type of obtrusive ads or anything like that.”

In the meantime, CD Projekt RED has been working with Fool’s Theory on The Witcher 3’s Songs of the Past expansion. Co-CEO Michał Nowakowski had compared the DLC’s scope to that of Blood and Wine, and confirmed that it was originally slated for release in 2026 before being pushed back to a 2027 release window.

“We had a moment where our plans for Songs of the Past would be released this year,” he said. “However, we decided, together with the development team, that the game will be launching in 2027 to achieve the best possible result from the consumer standpoint, which, in the end, frankly speaking, is the only thing that really matters.”

The Songs of the Past DLC will come to The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S. The studio has also said that its story won’t be a prologue to The Witcher 4.

After debuting on PS5 and PC last November, then launching for iOS and Android, Everstone Studio’s Where Winds Meet finally launches on Xbox Series X/S. As a shadow drop at the Xbox Games Showcase, it includes full HDR support, AMD FSR 2 for 4K upscaling on Series X, and Smart Delivery, likely to facilitate mobile users.

Of course, that’s not all. Hours after dropping the trailer for The Imperial Palace’s Confinement Tower, the developer has announced its next expansion: Hidden Mountain. Out in July, it introduces another new region with a new story focused on the Mohist Sect.

Alongside their own secrets, you can pursue new martial arts techniques and unlock the Hand Guard Discipline. While you could hit hard and fast, counter-attacking an opponent’s moves as necessary, its biggest appeal is a One Punch Man-like attack for absolute devastation.

Everstone should reveal everything about the new content in the coming weeks leading to Hidden Mountain’s launch, so stay tuned for updates (and to give up all your free time for the sake of Wuxia). As for The Imperial Palace, you can head here for all the details, or check out our review of the base game and why it may be worth jumping into.

Colors pop, and the action doesn’t let up in a trailer that has us quite curious to see how this one turns out when it releases later this year.

There’s a new trailer out for Aniimo, the adorable creature collection ARPG that we talked about a while ago.

It looks like you’re going to be able to customize your player characters, while there were a bunch of new creatures that we got to see in action. Be it on land, the water, or the air, there’s a creature to help you dominate the battlefield if you manage to collect it before your opponents unleash their own companions to defend their ground. We saw winged beasts capable of raining down attacks in a wide range, mushrooms that had a few tricks of their own, and some aquatic ones that took blowing bubbles to a whole other level.

Of course, finding synergies between their various abilities is going to help you take on tougher battles, while rare creatures in golden eggs are going to be a challenge to get your hands on, even if you’re working as a team. While we already knew that this one was coming to the XBOX and PC, the new trailer (showcased below) has now opened things up for the PS5, MacBooks, and Android devices too. That visually resplendent world might be quite busy when this one comes out later this year.

Oh, and there’s a global closed beta coming soon that you can sign up for on the official website if you’re eager to test out the waters with this one.

The Division: Resurgence is Coming to Steam Pretty “Soon,” As Wishlists Open

A Steam launch could open the doors for a wider player pool, especially for fans of the first two mainline looter shooters.

How the time has flown. It feels like The Division Resurgence was out just yesterday, but it’s been around two months since the lot of you got the chance to join the SHD’s Agents and protect New York City from a new threat.

Well, you’re going to see more friendly faces on its chaotic streets as the game is prepping to launch on Steam in the near future, with wishlists already open for those who are enthusiastic enough to join in. It’s been quite entertaining taking on waves of enemies with the game’s cover-based shooting and a customization system that offers scope for some truly unique looks and a lot of player freedom.

Granted, you could technically play it on your PC via the Ubisoft Store. However, Resurgence’s Steam launch is definitely good news for a title that needs more Agents joining the fray. If nothing else, it ensures more assistance during matchmade and endgame activities (though it also means the Dark Zone will be a lot more dangerous).

The announcement has come via a pretty intense trailer that we’ve showcased below if you and your buddies are looking for a new shooter to team up in. As for The Division 3, it’s slowly making progress, if a new mass hiring spree by Ubisoft is any indication.

The company revealed its plans for the new fiscal year in an investor relations presentation, confirming some release windows.

NCSoft has announced that it is delaying Horizon Steel Frontiers to the first half of 2027. The announcement was made in the company’s new investor relations presentation, which also didn’t elaborate on whether this new launch window would be for a global release or if it would be a Korea-first launch, as tends to be the case for many online games developed in the region.

The company didn’t really reveal any reason behind its decision to push the title’s release back to the first half of 2027, aside from noting that it will be joining other planned releases for the year that include Defect, Astrae Oratio, and Bonfire, among others. The fact that the company has fairly crowded plans for 2026 might have played a role in this, with titles like Cinder City and Time Takers slated for release in the second half of this year.

Horizon Steel Frontiers was officially unveiled back in November 2025, nearly two years after NCSoft and Sony had announced their strategic partnership. The MMORPG is being developed for PC, iOS, and Android. A PS5 release is conspicuous by its absence, especially since Horizon is one of Sony’s tentpole first-party franchises. In a statement, executive producer Lee Song clarified that NCSoft has “no reason” not to target the console. The decision, however, lies with Sony.

The MMORPG is slated to feature “unique, original gameplay elements” that revolve around taking down giant machines. An example provided of such gameplay elements involves making use of a Pullcaster to climb onto the machines after having destroyed a specific part. Players will also be able to set traps on damaged parts, and even inflict status afflictions.

“In Horizon Steel Frontiers, every player is a hero,” said executive producer Sung-Gu Lee. “We’ve put great care into customization, allowing you to fully express your individuality—even down to the smallest details. During character creation, we’ve incorporated the tribes from the original Horizon world.”

Interestingly, Horizon Steel Frontiers is being developed using Unreal Engine 5 rather than the franchise’s traditional Decima Engine. In an interview, Lee spoke about working closely with Guerrilla Games to develop the title, since the studio has quite a bit of technical expertise.

“We worked closely with Guerrilla to make sure we preserved the visual fidelity of the original, while creating gameplay that feels unique to Steel Frontiers,” he said. “Leveraging Unreal Engine 5’s powerful graphics capabilities, we’re able to deliver breathtaking visuals and smooth multiplayer experiences across both mobile and PC.”

Horizon Steel Frontiers isn’t the only multiplayer game based on the franchise currently in the works; February saw the unveiling of the Guerrilla Games-developed Horizon Hunters Gathering – a co-op game taking place in the Horizon universe that is being developed for PC and PS5. The title features a more stylistic look, and will revolve around two game modes – Machine Incursion and Cauldron Descent.

Horizon Hunters Gathering has been made available through a number of closed playtests, with the most recent one being held from May 22nd to May 25th across both PC and PS5. It doesn’t yet have a solid release date.
