KeokeN Interactive and Wired Productions have announced a release date for the sci-fi adventure title's long overdue Switch port.

Deliver Us the Moon’s original attempt at coming to the Switch may have been shelved in 2020, but earlier this year, developer KeokeN Interactive and publisher Wired Productions announced that the sci-fi adventure game was indeed set to release for Nintendo’s console later this year. Now, a specific release date has been revealed for the port.

Wired Productions has announced that Deliver Us the Moon will launch for the Nintendo Switch on July 16. The company has also released a trailer that showcases the game running on the hybrid console, while also setting up its story. Deliver Us the Moon sees players stepping into the shoes of a lone astronaut who’s sent to the Moon on a mission that the fate of the entire human race – which is facing ecological collapse – is hinging on. Check out the trailer below.

KeokeN Interactive announced in April that due to issues with securing a publishing deal for its next project, it was laying off its entire staff. Earlier this month, the developer also announced Deliver Us Home, the third game in its sci-fi series, which is seeking crowdfunding through Kickstarter.

KeokeN Interactive's sci-fi adventure game, which originally had its Switch port cancelled in 2020, is coming to Nintendo's platform this year at long last.

Several years on from its original launch, Deliver Us the Moon is finally set to launch for the Nintendo Switch. Originally set to arrive on Nintendo’s platform in 2020, the port was cancelled some months prior to its planned release, with publisher Wired Productions citing technical limitations at the time.

Now, Wired Productions and developer KeokeN Interactive are once again partnering to finally bring the sci-fi adventure game to the Switch. It will release sometime later this year, with a specific release date currently unannounced. Check out its announcement trailer below.

Set in the not-too-distant future, Deliver Us the Moon sees players playing as an astronaut traveling to the moon, sent on a mission to help stave off impending extinction for humanity as the planet struggles with depleted resources and ecological collapse. A sequel, Deliver Us Mars, launched for PlayStation, Xbox, and PC in February last year.

Deliver Us the Moon is currently available on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One, and PC.

Earlier this year, KeokeN Interactive revealed prototypes for five planned projects – including three in the Deliver Us series – in hopes of finding publishers or funding for the projects. Read more on that through here.

With so many titles that explore a range of settings, be it real-world or fantastical, there’s just something about the post-apocalyptic that makes it so endearing. Perhaps it’s that feeling of surviving against all odds or starting with a clean slate in a world where the old rules no longer apply. Maybe it’s discovering the eventual consequences of humanity’s actions if left unabetted.

Regardless, it’s a fantasy that many enjoy indulging in, and there are some great games to help with that. Check out 25 of the best post-apocalyptic games available on PC and what makes them so fun.

Fallout 4

Controversial though it may be among hardcore fans, Fallout 4 remains the most accessible game in the series, with some of the best combat. The Commonwealth is pretty massive, with multiple points of interest to explore, junk to pick up and settlements to build up. Learning more about the post-nuclear fallout world, whether it’s HalluciGen Inc and its suspicious chemicals that drive enemies mad or the creepiness of Dunwich Borers, is enticing. Plus, you can lead gangs of raiders or build robots with the DLC. Just steer clear of Preston Garvey. Your sanity will thank you.

A sloppy port of a solid game.

KeokeN Interactive’s Deliver Us the Moon has had an interesting life since it first launched in 2018. Since that initial release on PC, it has been through more than a few ups and downs- widely criticized at first for not even having a proper ending and other major issues besides, significantly improved with subsequent updates that addressed a lot of those problems, capturing a solid fanbase in the time to come, making its way to PS4 and Xbox One. Recently, the developer also announced a full-fledged sequel in Deliver Us Mars, which is due out later this year, and ahead of that, the small team has also brought Deliver Us the Moon to current-gen platforms.

And with this newest port, there’s both good news and bad news. The good news is that it throws a spotlight on the game once again, several years after its launch, bringing it to more people’s attention and giving them the opportunity to play through its brief but engaging science fiction adventure in the lead-up to its sequel’s launch. The bad news is that the port itself is far from perfect, and has more than a few technical issues. The net result? That, as you may have guessed it’s mixed. Deliver Us the Moon remains a good game, but I’m not sure if playing it on current-gen consoles is the best way to go about it.

"Deliver Us the Moon remains a good game, but I’m not sure if playing it on current-gen consoles is the best way to go about it."

The game is set in a not-too-distant future. A few decades from now, the Earth is facing an energy crisis unlike any other, and that, combined with climate catastrophes, has turned the planet into one large desert. Years before the beginning of the game, humanity came up with a solution to that issue when they found an isotope, Helium-3, on the moon that could serve as a replacement for fossil fuel, but that solution proved temporary. A few years after the establishment of the lunar colony, it mysteriously went silent, stopped transmitting Helium-3 to the planet, and went completely dark. In order to bring the colony back online to resume the energy transfer and save the planet from an impending apocalypse, as well as to figure out exactly why the colony went dark in the first place, a lone astronaut is sent to the moon in secret. When she arrives, she finds nothing but silence, emptiness, and a whole lot of questions.

Deliver Us the Moon doesn’t break new ground with its narrative premise or its story by any means, but it’s in the execution that the game succeeds. Most of the story is told passively, through holograms and audio logs discovered in the environment, which means you’re rewarded for exploring and digging into your surroundings on a fundamental level. Atmosphere is a key part of the experience in this game, and the complete isolation of the protagonist and the eerie emptiness of the abandoned locations you visit all end up forming a key part of the game’s identity, and that combines with the storytelling style rather well.

On the gameplay front, Deliver Us the Moon is simple yet effective- for the most part. The bulk of the experience is focused on solving puzzles and exploring environments, with the game divided pretty evenly between first person and third person sections. The puzzles are largely simple and to-the-point, but not so much so that they require minimal engagement, and what makes them stand apart is the amount of time you spend in zero-gravity environments. Being forced to think in three dimensions can be a bit awkward as you begin playing the game, but once you get used to it, it’s actually implemented quite well. Movement in general does have some issues and can feel a bit too clunky and weighty, even when you’re not in zero gravity. It also doesn’t help that on default settings, the camera feels way too heavy- I had to go into the settings and turn the sensitivity way up for it to get to a decent level, so there’s a good chance you end up having to do that as well.

"For some reason, Deliver Us the Moon has significant frame rate drops. The game slows down to a crawl for no good reason with surprising frequency, and as you might imagine, it drags down the experience in noticeable ways."

Deliver Us the Moon’s current-gen port also suffers from some significant technical issues. This is a game that was built by a small team on a tight budget, and with that in mind, it actually looks really good. Environments are sharp and quite detailed, and though there are some issues with bland textures here and there and distant objects looking hazy, by and large, it’s a decent looking game. The issue, however, arises with performance. For some reason, Deliver Us the Moon has significant frame rate drops. The game slows down to a crawl for no good reason with surprising frequency, and as you might imagine, it drags down the experience in noticeable ways. At one point, I also had a hard crash, forcing me to restart the game.

It’s a good thing that Deliver Us the Moon’s current-gen versions are a free upgrade for anyone who owns the game on PS4 or Xbox One, because I’m not sure that it’s worth the $25 it costs at launch. That’s not just because it’s a pretty brief game at 4-5 hours in length- those are actually pretty solid 4-5 hours, and I’m not calling the inherent quality of the game itself into question. It’s a sloppy port of a solid game though, and probably not the best way to experience the game. If you are looking to dive into Deliver Us the Moon’s somber yet captivating offerings for the first time, keep that in mine.

Psychological sci-fi thriller Deliver Us The Moon is out now for Xbox Series X/S and PS5. Originally launched in September 2018 for PC (with a re-release in October 2019), it was eventually released for Xbox One, PS4 and Google Stadia. Check out the launch trailer below.

As an astronaut traveling to the Moon, the player must investigate why the energy-supplying lunar colony has gone dark. Since natural resources on Earth have heavily dwindled, the colony’s supply could be vital for the survival of humanity. While there’s no combat, death is still very much a possibility.

On Xbox Series X/S and PS5, Deliver Us The Moon offers ray-traced shadows and reflections along with 4K support. Loading times are faster and the DualSense’s adaptive triggers and speakers are supported on PS5. Xbox One and PS4 owners can also upgrade to the current-gen versions for free.

KeokeN Interactive's puzzle adventure game arrives for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S- here's everything you should know about the port.

KeokeN Interactive is currently hard at work on Deliver Us Mars, but while work on the sequel progresses, the original game still has some life left in it. Since its relaunch for PC in 2019, Deliver Us the Moon has drawn quite a lot of positive responses from critics and audiences alike, and in the lead-up to Deliver Us Mars’ launch (whenever that happens), KeokeN Interactive is bringing the first game over to current-gen consoles and hoping to refine and enhance the experience even further with the more powerful hardware of the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. Here, we’re going to take a look at that upcoming port, and go over some crucial details you should know about it, and about the game itself.

PREMISE

If this will be the first time you play Deliver Us the Moon, you might not be aware of what the game exactly is about. Its name makes it pretty clear that it’s a sci-fi game set on the moon, of course, but what else? Deliver Us the Moon is a puzzle adventure game, which places most of its emphasis on the gameplay front on exploring environments and solving puzzles, alternative between first and third person camera perspectives- so don’t go in expecting a combat-heavy game.

STORY

One of Deliver Us the Moon’s more surprising elements when you’re playing it for the first time is how heavily it focuses on its story and storytelling. Set in an apocalyptic near-future, in Deliver Us the Moon, Earth is on the brink of a global crisis with nearly all of its natural resources having been depleted. You play as the last astronaut left on the planet, and in a do-or-die mission that may very well define the fate of the entire planet and the human race at large, you’re sent to the moon. Why? The moon was occupied once by the World Space Agency, and though Earth lost contact with the colony years ago, the moon might still hold the key to solving the energy crisis. Your mission is not only to uncover what happened to the colony on the moon, but also to find and secure the new energy source that could save Earth and everyone on it.

ANTI-GRAVITY

As you may have guessed given the game’s name and its premise, Deliver Us the Moon has quite a lot of anti-gravity stuff going on from a gameplay perspective. From exploration and traversal to puzzle solving and more, a decent chunk of the game sees you floating about in low or zero gravity environments and having to navigate your surroundings. Anti gravity gameplay is always fun (well, almost always- it depends on the execution, obviously), and Deliver Us the Moon is no different in that regard, so that’s definitely something to look forward to for those looking to dive into its offerings.

EXPLORATION

Deliver Us the Moon tends to be a very deliberately paced game most of the time, and a lot of that is down to the game’s emphasis on exploration. Traversing the moon and going through the abandoned bases and facilities there is, of course, a crucial part of the experience that makes up a bulk of the game. Thanks to enjoyable anti gravity traversal, exploration is consistently enjoyable, and it helps a great deal that the environments themselves are quite large. Don’t go in expecting a massive open world game, of course, but even so, there’s plenty of real estate to cover in Deliver Us the Moon.

DRIVING

Speaking of traversal and exploration- it’s not all on-foot. That would get tiring pretty quickly, right? No, Deliver Us the Moon also has plenty of driving sections. When you’re outdoors and exploring the lunar surface, a lot of that is done by driving a number of vehicles around. Driving in the game feels solid, and as you’d expect, combined with low gravity mechanics, the game’s driving sections tend to be quite a bit of fun.

HORROR-ESQUE

Deliver Us the Moon is not a horror game, technically. There’s no combat, so jump scares, no scary enemies or monsters to defend yourself against. But it can be a very chilling and unsettling game. For the vast majority of the experience, you’re completely isolated and exploring eerie and abandoned indoor environments and the still and silent outdoor lunar environments, and appropriately enough, that can be quite unnerving. That, combined with the mystery of what happened on the base as well as the game’s haunting and surprisingly effective soundtrack, makes for an experience that comes very close to being horror without actually being horror.

UPGRADE PATH

Deliver Us the Moon launched on PC before any other platform, before making its way over to PS4 and Xbox One in April 2020. Now that it’s coming to their respective successors, those who already bought the game on previous gen consoles will, fortunately enough, not be shortchanged. KeokeN Interactive and publisher Wired Productions have confirmed that those who already have previous gen versions of the game will be able to upgrade to Deliver Us the Moon’s PS5 or Xbox Series X/S version for no additional cost.

PRICE

What about those who have never owned or played Deliver Us the Moon and are looking to purchase it for the new time on current gen consoles? As you’d expect for a game that’s several years old at this point, its new upcoming release isn’t going to be a full-priced one. On PS5 and Xbox Series X/S, Deliver Us the Moon will cost $24.99. A physical version of the game will also be available for the same price, handled by Wired Productions’ own store in the UK, by Limited Run Games in the US, and by various retailers in European markets.

VISUAL UPGRADES

What sort of upgrades can you expect from Deliver Us the Moon when you play it on more powerful consoles though? Roughly speaking, it’ll be on the same level us the game’s PC version, though it will still be a noticeable upgrade over previous gen console versions. Deliver Us the Moon will run at native 4K on PS5 and Xbox Series X (though there’s no word on what its resolution will be on Xbox Series S). In addition to that, you can expect other visual enhancements like ray-traced shadows and reflections.

FASTER LOAD TIMES

As you’d expect, Deliver Us the Moon on current gen consoles will have other enhancements beyond its visual upgrades as well- like significantly reduced load times. Faster load times is the sort of enhancement that you expect to see in pretty much all games releasing natively for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S now, thanks to their SSDs, so it’s not surprising to see KeokeN Interactive promising that for its game as well. Exactly how much of an improvement we can expect in this area remains to be seen though.

DUALSENSE FEATURES

Finally, while those playing Deliver Us the Moon on Xbox Series X/S won’t be able to experience this, those playing the game on PS5 will get additional enhancements in the form of support for DualSense’s features. Specifically, KeokeN Interactive has confirmed that the game will make use of the controller’s adaptive triggers and speakers. Perhaps the implementation of the DualSense in Deliver Us the Moon will also give us an idea of what to expect from the upcoming Deliver Us Mars on that front.

Even with so many big showcases, June is fairly packed in terms of releases from horror games and ports to futuristic racers and fighters.

June is usually known as the month of big game reveals and announcements, what with State of Play, the Xbox and Bethesda Games Showcase, PC Gaming Show and Summer Game Fest coming up. But there are still plenty of games, big and small, releasing this month that warrant your attention. Let’s take a look at 15 of them here.

Diablo Immortal

After tons of “don’t you have phones” memes and outrage, Blizzard Entertainment’s Diablo Immortal is out soon on iOS, Android and PC (albeit in “beta” form). Developed with NetEase and set between Diablo 2 and 3, it sees players battling the forces of evil to prevent yet another resurrection of Diablo. Six classes, each with 12 skills; end-game activities like Elder Rifts, raids, and the Legacy of Horadrim; and extensive monetization for true min-maxing via Awakening and Resonance – it’s all here. Whether it’s a trainwreck, a worthy successor or somewhere in between, Diablo Immortal releases on June 2nd.

The Quarry

Nine teenage counsellors. Summer break. Bloodthirsty locals on the hunt. David Arquette. Supermassive Games’ next game certainly has everything that a horror fan could want. Playing as each counsellor, one must make decisions to eventually survive the ordeal. Be careful though – choices have consequences, either immediately or in the future. With tons of different outcomes, a Movie Mode for directing your own series of events, and accessibility options, The Quarry promises plenty of content when it releases on June 10th for Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PS4, PS5, and PC.

Sonic Origins

Relive the classic adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog when Sonic Origins releases on June 23rd for Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5, PC and Nintendo Switch. Sonic the Hedgehog, Sonic the Hedgehog 2, Sonic 3 and Knuckles and Sonic CD are all included, remade on Sonic Mania’s Retro Engine. Missions for each game, Mirror Mode for each level, Boss Rush, and in-game museum to unlock additional content like music tracks are all included. You can experience the games in Classic Mode or Anniversary Mode with the latter having widescreen support, unlimited continues and Sonic’s drop dash from Sonic Mania. DLC practices aside, it’s looking like a good time.

Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak

Monster Hunter Rise’s Sunbreak features a brand new region where players must battle powerful, horror movie-inspired monsters that hold dominion. A new base in Elgado Outpost offers new NPCs and facilities while Master Rank is introduced, adding new armor and weapons (along with new moves for previous monsters). New monsters include Magma Almudron, Lunagaron, Aurora Somnacanth, and Elder Dragon Malzeno in addition to returning foes like Sergios. There are also new Silkbind Attacks and Switch Skills, the Switch Skill Swap function for even more combo potential, Followers that can accompany you on certain quests and much more. Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak releases on June 30th for Nintendo Switch and PC.

Silt

As blissful as deep-sea diving may seem, Spiral Circus’s Silt exposes the sheer range of horrors that can lay in wait. Presented in stark monochrome, you play as a diver seeking to uncover ancient mysteries.
Deliver Us The Moon [PS5, Xbox Series X/S]

Cuphead: The Delicious Last Course DLC

Cuphead is almost five years old with The Delicious Last Course DLC first revealed way back in 2018, which is crazy in retrospect. It’s now finally – barring any sudden last minute delays – releasing on June 30th for PS4, Nintendo Switch, PC and Xbox One. Promising new weapons, charms, a new playable character with Ms. Chalice, and several new bosses in the new Inkwell Isle region, the DLC could be Cuphead’s craziest and most challenging adventure yet.

MADiSON

What’s better than two horror games in the Summer? Three, of course. Bloodious Games’ MADiSON is a first person psychological horror game where you play as Luca, who wakes suddenly in a locked dark room. Forced to partake in a terrifying ritual by a demon named MADiSON, you’ll be taking pictures to reveal secrets, and ideally survive the ordeal with random events and changing puzzles keeping you on your toes. MADiSON releases on June 24th for Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, and PS5.

DNF Duel

Based on Nexon’s online action RPG Dungeon Fighter, DNF Duel is a 2.5D fighting game from Neople, Eighting and Arc System Works. As such, flashy combos and gorgeous visuals are to be expected with 16 characters to choose from. Slice and dice as the Ghostblade, combo enemies at range with the Gunslinger or rely on ninjutsu as the Kunoichi among other combatants. In addition to online play with rollback netcode, there’s Story Mode, Arcade Mode, Survival and Free Battle. A gallery for viewing cinematics and music along with a Glossary for learning more about the series’ setting and organizations is also included. DNF Duel is out on June 10th for PS4, PS5 and PC.

Redout 2

WipEout and F-Zero fans take note – 34BigThings’ Redout 2 is out on June 16th for Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, PS5 and PC. Master the controls and partake in a new Career Mode with tons of events across 36 tracks (each with a reversed variant). There are 12 fully customizable chassis to choose from; competitive multiplayer for up to 12 players (six on the Switch); and custom content and seasons with even more rewards to look forward to.

Demon Slayer: The Hinokami Chronicles [Nintendo Switch]

Break out the Gurenge cover playlist – Demon Slayer: The Hinokami Chronicles is coming to Nintendo Switch on June 10th. Based on the first season and the Mugen Train movie arc, the 3D fighter includes an extensive story mode with exploration, boss battles and cutscenes as Tanjiro attempts to save his sister Nezuko. Versus Mode with 2v2 battles supports local and online play with 18 characters to choose from, including Academy versions of existing characters.

Disgaea 6 Complete [PS4, PS5, PC]

Nippon Ichi Software’s Disgaea 6 Complete is finally coming to PC, PS5 and PS4 worldwide on June 28th. With a max level cap of 99,999,999, quadrillions of damage and fully 3D visuals, this entry is perhaps the most divisive yet. Nevertheless, a wacky adventure with zombie Zed embarking on a journey to defeat an overwhelming force, resurrecting after each death to become a little stronger, awaits. All previously released DLC, from cosmetics to additional playable characters, is also included for free.

Originally slated for a May 19th release, the current-gen versions will now arrive next month. Check out the latest trailer in the meantime.

KeokeN Interactive’s Deliver Us The Moon has been delayed to June 23rd for Xbox Series X/S and PS5. The current-gen versions were previously slated to release on May 19th. A reason for the delay wasn’t provided but at least there’s a new trailer. Check it out below.

Deliver Us The Moon is set in the future where Earth’s natural resources have dwindled to dangerously low levels. After a lunar colony with an energy supply goes dark, it’s up to a single astronaut (read: You) to investigate and ensure humanity’s survival. Along with first and third-person exploration, there are anti-gravity sequences, puzzles, vehicles that can be driven, and a good amount of suspense.

The Xbox Series X/S and PS5 versions offer 4K gameplay, ray-traced shadows and reflections, and faster loading times. The PS5 version also supports the DualSense’s adaptive triggers and speakers. Previous-gen owners of the game can also upgrade to the current-gen versions at no extra cost. For more details on the game, check out our official review here.

Though a quieter month in terms of big releases, there are still plenty of interesting games in May that warrant a closer look.

The biggest games of the year are seemingly behind us. The Summer of Gaming nears, promising numerous reveals and announcements. Then there’s the looming Autumn/Winter seasons with their major triple-A releases and bombshells. What’s there to look forward to in the months before? As it turns out, quite a lot. Let’s take a look at 8noteworthy games releasing in May 2022.

Trek to Yomi

Flying Wild Hog’s side-scrolling hack and slash title takes clear inspiration from the works of Akira Kurosawa. It focuses on Hiroki who embarks on a mission of revenge against those who destroyed his village. Light and heavy attacks are your bread and butter in combat but combined with directional inputs, it’s possible to execute thrusting attacks or slice enemies that are behind you. Of course you can also use a bow and arrows, bo-shurikens and environmental hazards to slay foes. With four different endings, a Cinematic mode with a lower difficulty and a tougher One-Hit Kill mode, Trek to Yomi caters to a wide variety of players. It’s out on May 5th for Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5, PC and PS5.

Source of Madness

Roguelites have come and gone, some better than others. Then you have Source of Madness, a side-scrolling roguelite with Lovecraftian horrors born of procedural generation and powered by neural network AI. As a magic user, you venture through the Loam Lands and the Tower of Madness, battling these horrors with different skills and spells. Multiple classes and loot help keep things fresh while the art-style provides a surreal landscape to explore. Source of Madness is currently in early access on Steam but will launch on May 11th for Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5, PC, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch.

Flippin Kaktus

Flippin Kaktus is a side-scrolling action platformer that embodies that 80s punk aesthetic. After Kaktus, who happens to be a living cactus, has his home raided by the cartel and his foster family abducted, he embarks on a journey for vengeance. There are a surprising number of ways to approach combat, either using traps and the environment or relying on the power of rage (with some decent armor and dodging). With 11 locations and hand-crafted levels, not to mention the spirit of pulpy VHS action films, Flippin Kaktus promises a rollicking good time when it releases for PC, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox and PlayStation platforms on May 12th.

Evil Dead: The Game

The Deadites just never know when to quit, but thankfully, neither does Ash Williams. Evil Dead: The Game sees Ash teaming up with characters from across the franchise in a PvEvP game of survival. Up to four players team together, each choosing a character from four different classes with unique abilities. Explore different maps and acquire more than 25 different weapons like the classic boomstick and chainsaw.

Meanwhile, a single player chooses one of three demons – the Warlord, Puppeteer and Necromancer – to slay the Survivors. This can be done by possessing Deadites, spawning powerful enemies, and controlling environmental objects (including cars and trees). The asymmetrical multiplayer genre has had more lows than highs over the years but maybe Evil Dead: The Game ends up being groovy. We’ll find out when it releases on May 13th for Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, PS4, PS5, and PC (via the Epic Games Store).

Deliver Us The Moon first released in 2018 for PC and after launching for Xbox One and PS4 last year, it’s getting an Xbox Series X/S and PS5 upgrade at last (that too for free). Set in the near future where Earth’s natural resources have been depleted, you play as an astronaut who must investigate a lunar colony with vital energy reserves after it goes dark. It’s a suspense thriller with puzzles, anti-gravity sections and even vehicles to control.

The current-gen versions will benefit from 4K support, ray traced shadows and reflections, and faster loading times. There’s even support for the DualSense’s adaptive triggers and speakers. If a creepy vacation in space sounds nice, then it’s worth checking out Deliver Us The Moon when it releases on May 19th for Xbox Series X/S and PS5.

Sniper Elite 5

Rebellion’s definitive sniping experience returns with a brand new instalment. It sees protagonist Karl Fairburne venturing to dismantle the Nazis’ mysterious Project Kraken. Maps are larger than ever with multiple points of infiltration and traversal tools like ziplines, though a fair bit of platforming may also be necessary. Along with a campaign and multiplayer support for up to 16 players, there’s the new Invasion Mode where players can invade others’ games and hunt them. Of course, if you want to co-op the campaign with a friend, that’s also possible. Launching on May 26th, Sniper Elite 5 will be available for PS4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC.

Eiyuden Chronicle: Rising

If the wait for Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes, a Suikoden spiritual successor from the original creators, is too long, then Eiyuden Chronicle: Rising may help. As a prequel set in the same world, the story sees CJ, Garoo and Isha all exploring the Runebarrows that have emerged beneath New Nevaeh for their own reasons. The 2.5D side-scrolling action RPG lets players switch between each character, performing Link Attacks in combat. Eiyuden Chronicle: Rising releases on May 10th for PC, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One, PS5 and Nintendo Switch.

My Time at Sandrock

Pathea Games’ My Time at Portia offered a nice little Harvest Moon-style adventure but faced its share of performance issues at launch. However, it received enough support to become a fun little life sim while paving the way for the sequel, My Time at Sandrock. Entering early access for PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store on May 26th, it takes place in a “wholesome” (their words, not ours), post-apocalyptic world where most modern technology has been destroyed.

You venture to Sandrock as the newest Builder and do everything necessary to fix it up. Gather materials, process them in your workshop, create structures and other unique items while handling various requests. Improvements to combat along with new weapons and mechanics are also promised. During open beta, players have access to some of the story’s first Act, though the exact range of content hasn’t been detailed. My Time at Sandrock will be in early access for a year and release for PS4, PS5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S down the line.

KeokeN Interactive’s Deliver Us the Moon is coming to PS5 and Xbox Series X/S on May 19th, retailing for $25. PS4 and Xbox One owners can upgrade to the current-gen versions for free. A new trailer has also been released, highlighting the thriller’s creepy atmospherics. Check it out below.

Set in a Lunar colony that’s gone silent, the story sees a single astronaut investigating the cause. Strange things start to happen and it’s hard to tell whether there’s something out there in space or it’s all in one’s head. The current-gen version offers 4K resolution support with ray traced shadows and reflections along with faster loading times, enhancing the immersion even more.

PS5 players can also take advantage of the DualSense’s adaptive triggers and speakers for that extra bit of terror. If it sounds intriguing, check out our review for the game here. A sequel, Deliver Us Mars, is also in the works for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and PC though it doesn’t have a release date.
