Deliver Us Mars 6

In an unusual move, Deliver Us the Moon and Deliver Us Mars developer KeokeN Interactive has uploaded a video in which it has revealed prototypes for five project that it’s got in the pipeline. The “urgent” video was uploaded by the developer in the hopes of spreading the word about its projects and secure a publishing deal. KeokeN says this comes on the back of the past two years, where it has pitched these five projects to 40 publishers in over 200 pitch meetings with no success.

In an accompanying press release (via Pure Xbox), KeokeN Interactive co-founders Koen and Paul Deetman said: “After pitching these 5 games over 200 times with 40+ publishers, it was time to call upon our greatest strength: our community and network. It’s our last resort. We will not go down without a fight, and what better way than to fight with everything we’ve created.

“Our entire team has poured their heart and dedication into these games. The amount and diversity of these games are not the result of a lack of focus or vision. It’s a testament to our adaptability and to how hard we’ve tried to make it work during continually shifting winds and exceptionally hard times in the industry. More than anything else, we love and want to continue making games.”

Three of the five project prototypes that the developer has revealed are set in the Deliver Us series. There’s Deliver Us Home, a sequel to Deliver Us Mars, described as “a game about finding home” that will “try to do a lot more with player agency” than its predecessors, including suit upgrades, improved progression, and more options and variety in how to tackle challenges and obstacles.

Then there’s Deliver Us the Moon: Huygens, a spinoff that is set during the Blackout that happens in the original game, which will have “a very interesting way of playing with player choice”. There’s also Deliver Us VR, a VR-exclusive title that “goes into the ambition of more immersion” and has “an interesting story to tell that brings you back to the moon.”

Beyond the Deliver Us series, another prototype that KeokeN Interactive has revealed as We Are Human, which is described as a “philosophical action-adventure” game that is focused first and foremost on traversal and combat. Finally, there’s Expeditions, KeokeN’s most recent project, a co-op top-down shooter that takes a Soulslike approach to difficulty in terms of bosses and “punishing environments”. KeokeN says it’s also “playing around with some ideas to do PvP” for Expeditions.

You can check out the video below to get glimpses of what all five projects look like in these early stages.

“We want to remind you we’ve been pitching these projects for the last three years,” the developer concludes, “and most importantly, you can help us like the post, repost it, or in any way amplify our message to find a publisher, an investor, or someone that can help us continue this dream.”
