Take Two Interactive Joins Game4u’s ‘downloads4u’ Publisher Line Up

Video games from Take Two will now be available on downloads4u, Game4u has announced . Its not really a big surprise since a lot of games published by 2K a subsidiary of Take 2 were available during last month’s monsoon campaign.

Take Two joins Electronic Arts, SEGA, Bethesda, Rockstar, Square Enix and Namco Bandai as the list of publishers whose games you will find on downloads4u.

However, with the growing publisher support for downloads4u, will they be able to provide day one downloads to its users? That remains to be seen.

Milestone Interactive Opens Offices in Singapore and Dubai

Indian games distributor and retailer Milestone Interactive recently announced that it would be setting up offices in Dubai and Singapore. This will be a part of a global expansion strategy to see more Game4U stores across markets in South East Asia and in the Middle East. Given the success of “downloads4U”, the Game4U pre-buy digital service, this will make the service available to those populations at localized rates.

Milestone Interactive is also looking to bring the rewards program “Team Elite” as well, with a concentrate drive to also build a mobile publishing business with developers in those populations in order to publish and market their titles worldwide.

Milestone Interactive Group Chairman & CEO Jayont R. Sharma stated that, “This big step supports our stated vision to be the world’s leading interactive entertainment company; offering innovative products & services.

“Our qualitative research and understanding of these markets developed over the last few years has convinced us to make available our unique offerings and to present an overall brand experience built around ‘Game4U’ to these consumers. I believe our presence in these markets will further become a cornerstone of our growth in the immediate future.”

Game4u announces ‘March Madness’ on downloads4u

Game4u has announced that some terrific downloads are heading to their digital downloads service ‘downloads4u’ from 22nd March.

There will be daily discounts of upto 50% on the PC and Mac platforms for 10 days. They had earlier announced that new publishers were headed to the platform bringing in latest critically acclaimed games and we could be seeing them discounted as well.

They are also hinting at some new titles from independent publishers.

There are also goodies that you can win like Razer and Steel Series products “as well as offers from AVG Anti-virus and Tata Docomo broadband services.” Although we have no idea what they mean by the latter. Maybe an actual connection?

The top two downloaders can win Razer BlackWidow Ultimate 2013 and the SteelSeries Flux Headset. Sounds cool doesn’t it? Head over to the Game4u website to check out their deals out.

Game4u Expands ‘downloads4u’ with the addition of new Publishers

Game4u have announced that their digital distribution service “downloads4u” has been expanded and they have brought in new publishers, increasing the amount of games available on the service.

Publishers like Bethesda, Namco Bandai and Square Enix are well known and feature tons of exciting IPs. This means you may find older games that cannot be found at retail anymore. Deus Ex anyone? That would be lovely.

There are also recently released games that can be download from the service like The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, Dishonored, Dark Souls, Tomb Raider, Hitman: Absolution, and Sleeping Dogs. Make sure to have adequate space on your hard drive though.

We earlier covered that the service had started providing Mac games at local prices for Indian consumers.

Game4u’s digital download service ‘downloads4u’ now offers Mac games

Downloads4u, which is a digital download service of Game4u–specialist retailer of game hardware, software and digital services in India–has now expanded and offers Mac exclusive games at local pricing for Indian consumers.

There are a lot of AAA tiles like Borderlands 2, Roller Coaster Tycoom 3 and games from the Call of Duty series.

“Windows gamers can also currently download popular games from publishers such as Electronic Arts, SEGA and Square Enix in addition to a host of never seen before titles from independent publishers,” the retailer announced.

There are plans of expansion from Game4u by adding more publishers to its service.

Game4u continues its push for the newly launched digital download service “downloads4u” by featuring one of the all-time best selling computer games, developed by the masters at Maxis themselves: The Sim 3. Battlefield 3 Discounted on Game4u’s Deal of the Week

Game4u is up to it’s usual shenanigans involving the downloads4u service but at least they’re offering a decent discount this time. Battlefield 3 is the star, being selected the “Deal of the Week”. Now gamers can download the Battlefield 3 Premium Edition at Rs. 2599, and get a discount (the game is otherwise being retailed for Rs. 2999). It’s an interesting deal, considering that it covers the first two DLC packs for those who already own the standard edition.

That’s right: Back to Karkand and Close Quarters are available for just Rs. 499 each. Interested players better act quick though: this deal is only valid until November 16th (hence, “deal of the week”. Get it? Get it?) so act face lest you get a discount on some other crap you don’t want.

Not a bad way to go for the downloads4u service, which allows players to pre-buy games and have them queued for download on the day of their release. Now let’s see what next weel’s
