The "Alluring Ninja Girl" is also available in World Tour. Other new content includes new ranks for Master League and a new V-Rival.

Mai Shiranui from Fatal Fury and The King of Fighters is now playable in Capcom’s Street Fighter 6. As the second DLC character from SNK’s fighting franchise, she’s a speedy kunoichi who favors hit-and-run tactics, projectiles, and overwhelming opponents. Check out some of her moves in the trailer below.

Of course, Mai is also available as a new Master in World Tour. The player can learn her moves, and after maxing out her bond, they can unlock her second outfit (based on Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves). Other notable content includes Master League receiving new ranks and rewards.

There’s also an event in the Battle Hub where players can take on Professor Woshige, a new V-Rival. He’s based on the Ryuichi “Woshige” Shigeno, known for “one of the most memorable fighting game moments in history.” The moment involved celebrating too early at EVO 2015 and famously losing the set. The event will be available until March 9th, 11:59 PM PST.

Street Fighter 6 is available for Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5, and PC. The next DLC character, Elena from Street Fighter 3: New Generation, arrives this Spring. Stay tuned for updates on her launch date.

Players can unlock her outfit from Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves with Fighter Coins or in World Tour mode via a max bond.

The third fighter in Street Fighter 6’s Year 2 Character Pass, Mai Shiranui, arrives on February 5th. As a staple of Fatal Fury and The King of Fighters series, she can utilize quick rushdowns and ninjutsu to overwhelm her opponents. Check out some of her classic techniques in the first gameplay trailer below.

Perhaps more notable than the range of nasty combos is her outfit from the upcoming Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves, which consists of a biker jacket and leather pants. It can be acquired using Fighter Coins or maxing out her bond in World Tour, where she joins as a new Master for players to learn new moves.

Following Mai’s release, Elena from Street Fighter 3: New Generation will join the roster in Spring 2025. Capcom hasn’t outlined plans for future DLC characters, though given the success of Street Fighter 6, it seems a given. Stay tuned for updates in the coming months.

Street Fighter 6 is available for Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5, and PC. Head here to see how it fares after its first year (though other changes have been made since then).

Arriving in early 2025 as the third DLC character in Year 2, the kunoichi launches alongside her stage from Fatal Fury 2.

Terry Bogard signaled the arrival of Fatal Fury into Capcom’s Street Fighter 6, but he’ll be getting some company soon. Mai Shiranui joins the roster in early 2025 as part of the Year 2 Character Pass, complete with her signature stage from Fatal Fury 2. A new teaser is available, which sees the World Tour protagonist running into her.

It’s not long before rival ninjas ambush Mai, and we see some of her moves in action, from the elbow strike of Hissatsu Shinobi Bachi to her anti-air Hishou Ryuuenjin. Even the mid-air Musasabi no Mai appears near the end, though the protagonist avoids the brunt of the impact (which is a good thing since she’s their new Master in World Tour).

Mai Shiranui is the third DLC character in Year 2; the fourth is Elena from Street Fighter 3: New Generation, arriving in Spring 2025. Stay tuned for more details on Mai’s moveset and her release date.

Street Fighter 6 is available for PS4, PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X/S.
The Fatal Fury veteran packs in several classic maneuvers while also bringing his Garou: Mark of the Wolves attire to the fight.

Terry Bogard joins the cast of Street Fighter 6 next week as the latest Year 2 DLC character. Before that, Capcom released the Legendary Hungry Wolf’s Character Guide, outlining all the Special Moves and their Overdrive variants. Best of all, it’s written from Terry’s perspective. Check it out below.

Much of this will look familiar if you’ve played Fatal Fury, The King of Fighters, or Garou: Mark of the Wolves. From the Power Wave, which acts as a projectile (with the Overdrive version hitting multiple times), to the Burning Knuckle, everything has translated over to the Street Fighter 6 in immaculate fashion. Perhaps the most underrated part of the video is showing off his alternate costume, based on his appearance from Garou.

Street Fighter 6 adds Terry Bogard on September 24th, so stay tuned for when he goes live. Of course, he isn’t the only Fatal Fury character, with Mai Shiranui joining the roster in Winter 2025 (meaning early next year). Elena rounds out the Year 2 Character Pass in Spring 2025.

Fighting Pass owners get new gear, New Challenger screen effects, stickers, music, banners, emotes, and more inspired by Fatal Fury.

Street Fighter 6 has added the first of its four year 2 DLC characters with M. Bison already, but there’s plenty left to come still. Of its three remaining additions, in fact, two are set to bring a little bit of SNK into Capcom, with Fatal Fury’s series mainstays Terry Bogard and Mai Shirunai both set to arrive for the fighter, and with the former’s arrival now not long away, Capcom has offered another look at what he will bring to the arena.

Terry Bogard is obviously not unknown quantity to fans of the fighting genre, but along with the man himself being playable in all his glory, owners of Street Fighter 6’s Fighting Pass can also expect additional content themed after Fatal Fury, including costumes (including some rather recognizable ones inspired by classics), gear, New Challenger screen effects, stickers, music, banners, emotes, and more. Check out the trailer below for more details.

Street Fighter 6 is available on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, and PC. Terry Bogard will be added to its roster later this month, on September 24.

The Fatal Fury veteran will cross over into Capcom's acclaimed fighter a little over a month from now, it's been officially confirmed.

Terry Bogard will get plenty of time to shine with Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves next year, but before that, he’s also set to take the stage in Capcom’s Street Fighter 6. Previously confirmed to be coming to the acclaimed fighting title sometime this Autumn, at Gamescom Opening Night Live, the guest DLC character was given a specific release date.

Terry Bogard will be added to Street Fighter 6 for Year 2 pass owners on September 24. In addition to being available in the Fighting Ground and Battle Hub modes, Terry will also be featured in World Tour as a new Master. He will, of course, bring over plenty of his fiery moves from SNK’s fighting offerings into Capcom’s game, and his arrival will also be accompanied by a new stage and a new outfit. Check out his gameplay in the trailer below.

Street Fighter 6 is available on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, and PC. Another Fatal Fury character, Mai Shiranui, is set to arrive as a guest character in early 2025.

The Legendary Hungry Wolf will be available in World Tour, Battle Hub and Fighting Ground as the next Year 2 DLC character.

After kicking off Year 2 of Street Fighter 6 with M. Bison, Capcom has confirmed the addition of Terry Bogard from Fatal Fury for this Autumn. He’ll be available in World Tour, Battle Hub and Fighting Ground. Check out the first teaser trailer below to see what he looks like in-game.

As a mainstay of SNK’s fighting games, Terry has been in Fatal Fury, The King of Fighters and Garou: Mark of the Wolves. His moves combine styles like boxing, kickboxing and good ol’ street brawling for some hard-hitting techniques.

One of his signatures, Burn Knuckle, is seen in the teaser, along with his classic victory pose. Of course, the protagonist of World Tour is also seen in the crowd, confirming that Terry will become a Master (if his inclusion in the mode wasn’t enough).

Two more DLC characters are coming after Terry Bogard, including fellow Fatal Fury member Mai Shiranui and Elena from Street Fighter 3: New Generation. Stay tuned for more details on his moves and how the Drive Gauge factors in. You can check out our review for Street Fighter 6 here in the meantime and how it fares a year later.

SNK has confirmed that the next instalment in the fighting series will feature the three fan favourites.

From Street Fighter 6 and Tekken 8 to Mortal Kombat 12 and more, there’s plenty of major upcoming games for fans of fighting titles to look forward to. Another that was confirmed to be in development in August last year was a new Fatal Fury/Garou game by SNK, and some more brief new details on the same have been revealed.

Recently, at Evo 2023, SNK showed off a very short teaser for the next Fatal Fury game, confirming that three series mainstays and fan favourites will be featured in the game as playable characters- namely, these are series protagonist Terry Bogard, his younger brother Andy Bogard, and martial artist Joe Higashi. All three have, of course, been staples of the Fatal Frame series over the years, so their inclusion in the next game doesn’t exactly come as a surprise- but it’s nice to get confirmation nonetheless.

SNK didn’t showcase any gameplay for the game, but did show off concept art featuring the three aforementioned characters, while also reiterating the game is currently in development. Check out the clip below.

Fans of the fighting genre have quite a bit to look forward to.

Fans of fighting games never really have a lack of great options to choose between (especially when you look at the last few years), and sure enough, there’ll be no lack of promising new games in the coming months and years either. Plenty of fighters are confirmed to be in development, offering experiences of different styles and scope, and here, we’re going to take a look at some that we have our eye on.

STREET FIGHTER 6

Obviously, we have to start fight Street Fighter 6. Capcom’s legendary fighting series will be back in June with a new mainline instalment, and everything that we’ve seen of it so far has looked excellent. From its expanded single player offerings to its mechanical tweaks and improvements to its suite of multiplayer content, Street Fighter 6 is shaping up to be one of the biggest games of the year.

We do a rundown of some games that you probably didn't know are in development, but are definitely worth keeping on your radar.

Despite the setbacks suffered by the games industry on account of the pandemic, the medium continues to grow at a rapid pace with developers pushing for new experiences left right, and center. Many upcoming experiences remain undiscovered on most gamers’ radars, and that might be due to poor marketing or early announcements or development issues – most fans forget that they actually exist. To that end, here are 10 upcoming games that you probably didn’t know are in development right now.

Death Stranding 2 – Working Title

Kojima Productions’ took a huge risk with Death Stranding – a game that veered away from open-world and action-adventure stereotypes to create something that was totally different from the crowd. Sure, it wasn’t everyone’s cup of tea – but it certainly managed to garner a dedicated fanbase that warranted a sequel. After a healthy round of rumours from multiple sources and hints from Kojima-san himself, Death Stranding 2 has finally been announced at the recent The Game Awards.

The trailer stars Fragile as she makes her way out of a safehouse with a baby in hand, and we see new vehicles like a unicycle in this segment as well. Then, we cut back to the present and we see an older Sam being convinced by Fragile to take another arduous journey with her. Sure, the details are scant at the moment – and we can’t wait to know more about the sequel and see the changes in action.

Grand Theft Auto 6

Grand Theft Auto 5 was released back in 2013, and it’s shocking to see how we have been deprived of a new GTA game for almost 10 years now. Naturally, plenty of rumours and reports emerged in recent years – but Rockstar has finally announced that the next numbered entry in the series is in active development. But then some leaked gameplay also showcased some new details such as a female protagonist, shop robberies, among other things.

It’s nowhere near ready yet, and Rockstar’s insistence on keeping development details close to its chest further solidifies this belief. But at least we know its coming, and hopefully – more information will be revealed in 2023.

Beyond Good And Evil 2

Believe it or not, Beyond Good and Evil 2 was announced back in 2008 – and while we didn’t get to see much of it in action, Ubisoft did unveil a cinematic trailer of the sequel in 2018. And following that, we got to see some gameplay snippets where we see different shades of action, exploration, and player progression in the heart of the open world.

As you can already guess, Beyond Good and Evil 2 has some pretty lofty ambitions – such as multiple giant planets (each with its own sets of rules and regulations, different quests and rewards and so on). And sure enough, it seems like these ambitions have gotten the better of them since the development hasn’t obviously been the smoothest.

Fun fact: Beyond Good and Evil 2 has broken the world record for being the longest game in development, which was previously held by Duke Nukem Forever with a development cycle of 15 years.

The developer has confirmed that it’s still working on the game, so we can rest knowing that it will hopefully come out in the near future.

State of Decay 3

Undead Labs unveiled the first glimpse of State of Decay 3 back in 2020, and that was a pretty brief showing. We know that the development is being done on Unreal Engine 5, and the game will be coming to Xbox and PC. More details will probably surface in the near future, so stay tuned for that.

New Fatal Fury

Before there was King of Fighters, developer SNK was best known for its work on the Fatal Fury series. The series has remained in hiatus for more than 20 years, but not anymore. SNK has announced that a new game in the series has been greenlit. Details other than that are sparse for now, and fans are equal parts excited and skeptical about the many changes that would be happening to the series.

Wonder Woman

Monolith Productions of Shadow of Mordor fame is moving to a new territory with its upcoming Wonder Woman game. It was announced back at The Game Awards 2021, and apart from a brief teaser showcasing a close-up of Wonder Woman’s character model – we know very little about what’s in store. That said, Monolith has clarified that will be an original story and set in an open world – so we are naturally looking forward to seeing elements from the Mordor games being morphed for this experience. The Nemesis system is confirmed make a return – though we can’t say how that will be adapted for this game.

New Iron Man Game

Remember the last time that we received an amazing Iron Man game? Me neither. But thankfully – EA Motive and Marvel are joining forces to bring a new experience starring our beloved superhero. We know that it will be an original story that will tap into the rich story of Iron Man, and that it will have AAA-level production quality – but other than that, we know very little about this game. It’s obviously some ways off from release, but we can’t wait to dive into it.

Untitled Marvel game from Skydance New Media

There’s no shortage of Marvel games coming in the near future, but you might be surprised to know that Skydance New Media – a gaming division of Skydance Media – is also working on one such title. Amy Hennig is leading the project, and we know that it will be an original story that will revolve around Black Panther, Captain America and two additional heroes. The short trailer reveals that the game is set during World War II, and the developers have promised that it will “craft an all-new, thrilling narrative experience.”

New TimeSplitters game

Much like Fatal Fury that we discussed before, most fans had accepted that TimeSplitters is a franchise that’s been lost to the times. However, that’s not the case since Deep Silver has finally announced that a sequel is in the works. It will be developed by Free Radical Design under the leadership of original co-founders. But don’t expect it to come out anytime soon, since development is still in its earliest stages at the time of writing this feature. It has not been confirmed for PS5 and Xbox Series X | S yet, but given that the publisher releases its games on most modern platforms, current-gen versions of the game is definitely not out of the question.

Control 2

Remedy Entertainment struck gold with Control, a game that’s the perfect showcase of the Finnish developer’s biggest strengths. Following its success and the ending of the original, it’s only natural that a sequel would follow. After plenty of rumours, Remedy has finally announced that a full-fledged sequel to Control is in the works. We can expect it to dive deeper into the Remedy multiverse and I hope there will be some links to the events that will happen in Alan Wake 2, alongside major gameplay improvements as well. But it’s still in deep development, so there’s going to be some time before we get our hands on this game.
