Sony is looking to recruit someone to "deliver a single, optimized PC sales growth and commercial plan" as it looks to expand its presence on the platform.

Sony has been making notable moves in the PC space over the last few years, having released a number of major games for the platform. Horizon Zero Dawn, Days Gone, and God of War have all launched for PC, while Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection is set to follow sometime later this year. It’s been clear for a while that plans on investing further in the PC space, and now, a newly published job update further suggests that Sony is looking to further expand those plans.

As reported by VGC, as per a job listing for the Senior Director, PC Planning and Strategy position, Sony is looking to recruit someone that can “lead PC growth and commercial strategy” and “develop and implement global PC store strategy and process”. The job listing also mentions “growing PC MAU for PC content” as one of the position’s responsibilities.

In October last year, Sony officially established PlayStation PC, a label dedicated to publishing games on the platform. Earlier in the year, the company announced the acquisition of PC port specialist studio Nixxes Software. PlayStation CEO Jim Ryan said shortly afterward that the studio would help port PlayStation games to PC.

The Steam pages for Horizon Zero Dawn, Days Gone, and God of War all mention PlayStation PC as their publisher.

It’s been clear for about a year now that Sony plans on bringing more and more of its first party PlayStation exclusives over to PC. Horizon Zero Dawn and Days Gone have already made their way over to the platform, and God of War and Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection are next. If all of that isn’t enough of an indication that Sony is taking its PC efforts seriously, there’s been another interesting development.

As reported by VGC, while Sony-released titles previously mentioned the PlayStation Mobile label as their publisher, they’ve recently been updated, and Horizon Zero Dawn, Days Gone, and God of War all now mention PlayStation PC LLC as their publisher. According to Corporation Wiki, Sony has had PlayStation PC LLC officially registered since April of this year.

Earlier this year, Sony acquired PC port specialist Nixxes Software, and PlayStation CEO Jim Ryan confirmed shortly afterward that the studio would be helping with PC ports of PlayStation games in the future. Interestingly, however, the upcoming God of War PC port is being handled by Jetpack Interactive (who also seem to have done some work on its upcoming sequel, God of War: Ragnarok).

Some recent reports have also suggested that Sackboy: A Big Adventure could also be headed to PC. Read more on that through here.
