The showcase will reportedly feature upcoming titles from Microsoft's publishing partners across "all shapes and sizes."

Next-gen Xbox plans are a ways off, while the quartet of big first-party offerings (including Halo: Campaign Evolved) aren’t out until 2026. In the meantime, Microsoft will focus on third-party titles with an Xbox Partner Preview allegedly set for November.

“Trusted sources” reveal to Windows Central’s Jez Corden that the showcase features titles from the company’s publishing partners across “all shapes and sizes.” Interestingly, many of them are focused on Xbox Play Anywhere, seemingly aligning with the company’s alleged plans of PC integration into the next-gen Xbox.

Corden reports that developers are “increasingly excited about the opportunities there” with “stronger-than-expected” Xbox Ally sales also seemingly factored in.

If that wasn’t enough, Xbox plans to have “some presence” at The Game Awards. There are no concrete details, so place your bets on anything from new gameplay for Fable, Forza Horizon 6 or Gears of War: E-Day to the announcement of its free Xbox Cloud Gaming service.

The Game Awards are set for December 11th and usually feature several big announcements and World Premieres. With last year’s event crossing 154 million live viewers, all eyes are on the biggest players (Microsoft included) to steal the show.

The showcase will be roughly 25 minutes long, featuring over a dozen trailers for Alan Wake 2's upcoming expansion, Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii, and more.

As recent rumours claimed, Microsoft has officially announced another edition of Xbox Partner Preview, its third-party focused showcase, which is confirmed to be coming back later this week, on October 17, at 10 AM PT / 1 AM ET / 6 PM BST.

Microsoft says the showcase will be roughly 25 minutes long, and will feature over a dozen trailers from a number of partners, including Remedy Entertainment, 505 Games, Sega, and more. Specifically, three titles have been confirmed for the show already, in the form of Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii, Wuchang: Fallen Feathers (which will showcase “multiple bosses”), and Alan Wake 2, which will offer another look at its second expansion, The Lake House.

In addition to fresh looks and new gameplay for previously announced titles, Microsoft says the showcase will also include multiple world premieres and new game reveals, alongside release date announcements. Stay tuned for all the details.

Microsoft's third-party focused showcase event could return soon, a prominent leaker has claimed.

Almost exactly a year ago, Microsoft premiered its first ever Xbox Partner Preview, a showcase focused on announcements and updates from third-party publishers. As per a prominent leaker, the company is gearing up for another iteration of the showcase.

Insider NateTheHate has claimed on ResetEra that another Xbox Partner Preview showcase is set to happen soon, and that an announcement is going to arrive in the coming days. The laker stated on Saturday that the announcement would arrive “near the start of the week”, which means we could be hearing something official imminently. What that showcase will entail is, of course, the big question, but details on that front are scarce.

Last year’s Xbox Partner Preview brought with it new looks at Alan Wake 2, Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, Still Wakes the Deep, Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, and more. Meanwhile, another Partner Preview in March this year featured the likes of Final Fantasy 14, Persona 3 Reload, Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess, and The Sinking City 2, among others. All of which is to say, there’s a good chance we’ll get fresh glimpses at major upcoming third-party titles soon.
